Homeko is most frequently depicted as an extremely home-bodied artist who frequently creates ''yaoi dōjinshi'' (explicit self-published manga featuring gay relationships) to sell at conventions. She is very open about her perverted interests, and tends to be a nuisance to others that end up having to take care of her and she will often bully or "borrow" from them. She is very smug in most situations. Some may fit her character into a girl-failure archetype.
