Harvard Mark III-tan is [[Harvard Mark I|Mark I-tan's]] second daughter, and younger sister of [[Harvard Mark II|Mark II-tan]]. Referencing the Mark III's memory drums, Mark III-tan wears large twin hair curlers in her hair (that look like drums from the side view), and has a penchant for playing the drums. She worked as a naval captain, but off duty, and sometimes even on duty, she wears Revolutionary War Continental Army uniforms. She is cheerful, bold, energetic, and scatterbrained. Unusually, she can process great amounts of information at once, but turning a page in a book (regardless of information density) is mentally taxing to her, referring to an information bottleneck in the Mark III's relay system.

She's a little over average height, with pale skin, gold eyes and dark brown hair braided into drums at the sides of her head. Long wires "plug" into the braids. She wears a double-breasted white dress with tape reel inspired buttons and a magnetic tape bow, an antiquated navy & gold captain's coat, and captain's hat styled with magnetic tape florettes and a tassel of magnetic drum heads. She wears black platform-soled knee boots.

Her personality is old-fashioned, and while she tries to incorporate new ideas she isn't very good at it. She projects her confidence better than her elder sisters, and subsequently comes off as commanding and martial. Inherited Mark I's arrogance and stubbornness without being able to deliver on it, which gets her into trouble more often than not. Takes a long time to do anything, less successful than her sisters but she doesn't seem to mind. She is somewhat bellicose toward electronic computers.

Like Mark II-tan, Mark III-tan was separated from her mother early in life, and worked in a separate division. She was rarely able to see any of her family, but she is forever grateful for them helping her get out of her depression.  
She was separated from Harvard Mark I early in life. She gets along best with Harvard Mark II, with whom she lives, but likes all her sisters, even if she finds both Mark I and [[Harvard Mark IV | Harvard Mark IV-tan]] difficult to understand. She has a rivalry with [[NORC | NORC-tan]], and tends to be the target of pranks from [[ORDVAC | ORDVAC-tan]] & BRLESC-tan given her outsized reactions.

Mark III-tan was the fastest and most powerful computer-tan for her time, and she took great confidence in her abilities despite her quirks or shortcomings in information processing. When she got surpassed, she lamented her fall from status and had depressive episodes, but was able to cheer up again with the support of her family, and was able to continue her job.
