Yet another one of Juzo-kun's ten Linux distro-tans, Slackware-tan personifies Slackware Linux, a popular distro descended from Softlanding Linux System. Slackware is noted for being built on the KISS (Keep it simple, stupid)principal. Slackware Linux is often advocated as being transparent and flexible, the most Unix-like of the Linux distos; but criticized for doing so at the cost of user friendliness.

Attitude-wise, Juzo-kun's original design seemed to show her as no-nonesense, utilitarian and intelligent, a whiz with mechanical pursuits. Later renditions also seem to convey she's a bit high-stung and takes a little getting used to, perhaps as an injoke referring to the Slackware Linux's less-than-user friendly nature.
