I had originally some very ancient scrap PC parts in that Endorfy case, with the idea to soon upgrade to new hardware, still almost for a whole year ran on that old hardware. Also when I mean old, it's like, really old. Like Phenom II 925 and GTX760 old. Still, Linux Mint ran great on that, even with only 6gb of slow DDR2 ram. Youtube was good up to 1440p and bunch of modern-ish indie games ran just fine.

On my workstation I run a dual PC setup with a GMKtec Intel N97 nucbox with Linux Mint, serving as the internet machine. Having KB and mouse hooked up over a USB hub switch to share inputs with my old 2016 built system that I've pulled offline, still running win10 for the few creative softwares.

The 2016 system has been a real champ, but it was time for it to be pulled off the internet, already due to the UEFI vulnerability in its Gigabyte mobo.
It's specs for the curious:

Hadron Air mini-itx case
i5 6600
Arctic freezer i11 cooler
EVGA GTX1060 6Gb
2x8Gb Corsair ram.
Couple Sata SSDs and one very old m.2

Case has a built in SFF server rack style PSU at 500W. Really been wanting to get an upgrade to that, but the form factor is very rare at high wattages. But maybe someday if I wanted to re-use the case for a more modern build.

There wasnt much people there. Reikart and Suisei. And I think Reikart is a chat4all server moderator.

In the end its pretty easy to get on IRC. There's so many clients that provide various extras. But what I used to use back in the day was Pidgin, a multiprotocol client that can handle several types of IM protocols at the same time, not very useful these days as many of these are outdated. Pidgin itself is just very easy to use.
Just need to create a new Chat, choose the protocol (IRC) and the server.
#ostan is on Chat4All, and when joining Chat4All server, from the StatServ window that pops up, typing '/join #ostan' sends you to the Os-tan IRC.
