So anyway my dad and I (and Lulu) got invited to my brother's, nephew's and sis in law's place for xmas dinner, usually they do their own thing but they decided to invite us, her parents and a friend over as well. Things went less disastrous than planned, considering that my dad and her dad kind of hate each other (though it might be one-sided at this point? ID-even-fucking-K anymore), he seemed a lot more laid back than usual and has even become slightly more liberal / pro-workers' rights so we could have discussions about politics that didn't make me wanna poke my eye out with a fork. Luci and my bro's dog played all day and were generally cute with each other, so that was nice too. The dinner was excellent and I spent the rest of the day playing Minecraft with my nephew and talking video games with my brother (we gifted him a PS3). Things got a little freaky when my sis in law's dad started talking about DAMNED UFO SIGHTINGS (apparently there's an orange UFO that a number of people have spotted flying around their neighborhood?!??? ? I usually flat-out dismiss UFOers as crackpots but having a "relative" talk about it puts me on edge) but all in all things went okay.

As for gifts (so far):

Granted I bought several of these items for myself and was present for the purchase of several others, but I'm not complaining. uwu
