Also, on a less-than-positive note, bro-in-law has the flu. I really hope I don't catch it; I can't afford another trip to the hospital -___-;
I have the flu as well ;^;
It's a freaking epidemic.

Isn't it against the law to work with food if your ill with anything? I know when I had a slight cold I was sent down to the nurse station and then sent home.

>Pizza Hut standards

They're supposed to, but it all boils down to incompetence of the store manager on top of other bullshit (You take off work for anything, and 9 times out of 10, you lose that day entirely on the following weeks; it being a headache to get them back. Also, they rarely send people home when they're sick; some are allowed, while others such as myself are barred from going home until our shift is over. So, basically you're supposed to be a robot)

But then again, this wouldn't be the first job I had where they completely disregard state law to meet their own agenda (I got written up when I had that 2nd job at the hospital for refusing to work through my lunch break; even if it's not just against corporate policy, but state law as well >_<)

Chocofreak13

if it's any consolation pent, we drove all the way to seabrook (half an hour to 45 minutes from here) just to find out that gamestop lied to us. it has been a beyond frustrating day. and for some reason it doesn't feel like Christmas right now, like, it feels like January or something. did I sleep through the holidays? >>;

@Leaf: I LOL'd

@Kari: For me, it hasn't really felt like Christmas at all. We don't have a tree setup this year, I'm missing out on the traditional Christmas Eve dinner with dad's family because of work, and I haven't had a chance to buy eggnog, apple cider, or sparkling grape juice this year ;__;

EDIT: Also, not really helping is that I'm hearing more people whine about Duck Dynasty getting cancelled than hearing anything about Christmas >_>;

Much rant. Very irritated. Wow: ShowHide
I mean, that show makes me not want to live on this planet anymore; the fact it lasted for 5 seasons or whatever, while Firefly was cancelled after 12 episodes is proof there's no justice. I'd go out to say that Jersey Shore is better than Duck Dynasty; as at least Jersey Shore wasn't stupidly overhyped and seen in every single goddamn store in a 5-mile radius of my house.

I also get sick of how I have to hide my views, opinions, and some interests just to keep the status quo in check; it feels like if I was actually open about those things, mom would likely kick me out on the streets.

Once I get these bills paid off, I'll likely take a 2-night vacation to Tyler or something; I need to get away from everyone for a few days

Chocofreak13

that seems like a good idea, bro. you sound like you need time to get away. :\

Why can't the US just have government-run, socialized medicine like every other sane developed nation?

>trying to sign up for insurance under the ACA
>projected to only have to pay ~$30/month with a yearly premium of ~$200 for a silver insurance plan with Blue Cross, which is a really good price, considering that my skin is basically destroying itself, my immune system is kicking out (at least I assume that's why I'm unable to heal wounds anymore and am kind of perma-sick), I have low blood pressure problems (at least i think that's what it is, I'm constantly dizzy and periodically almost faint) and like a dozen other things I want to have checked out / fixed
>website keeps fucking up
>calls hotline to sign up by phone, the dumb bastard on the line FUCKING HANGS UP ON ME because wow 2 difficult 4 me.
>MRW

Nichi

I'd look into health insurance, but last time I dabbed into anything medical related, I got fucked epically with nearly $1k in bills, so I refuse to do anything until I feel I have the money to save myself >_<;
