Character details
General
Solaris-tan is depicted having short orange hair, and either purple or red eyes. She commonly wears outfits in purple, grey and red; the main color scheme of Solaris' CDE desktop. Her formal wear includes long gowns with gold, sun-themed jewelry, but her typical outfit is her waitress outfit when at work. She runs a coffee shop, referencing Java, also developed by Sun.
Her demeanor is aristocratic, hot-headed, competitive, and often times belligerent. Among the Unix Family, she is one of the highest-ranked of Unix's daughters; her day job seems to go against both her social status and her personality. Since delving into Open Sorcery, she has attempted to be more humble and genuinely sociable, but her continuing rivalries with other prominent Unixes in the Linux/Unix Consortium tends to push her patience to its limits.
Family and relationships
Spring OS
Spring OS-tan was her younger sister, born in the early 1990's. Spring OS-tan was sickly her whole life, and was too sick to fight in the Unix Wars, and didn't understand why the family was torn in war. Solaris-tan was initially motivated to fight, promising Spring OS that she could end the war and restore peace to the family, and that they could spend more time together afterwards. She died before the end of the war. Her death greatly upset Solaris-tan, and drove her to become selfish.
Their relationship is depicted in Bella's Linux-tan comic, at the start of chapter 3.

Solaris-tan appeared as a major antagonist in Bella's Linux-tan comic, fighting against Linux because she thought Linux would destroy the already war-torn Unix Family.
