| There are many personifications for the Macintosh Operating System by Apple Computer. The first personification was [[MacOS|Mac-tan]], who was a general personification for the Macintosh Operating System. The second is for Mac OS 9, better known as Sonata. Another is for Mac OS 8, better known as OS8-tan. The fourth is for Mac OS X, better known as OSX-tan. There are many variations for the early Mac OSes 1-7, created by the artist Aurora Borealis.
