Almost forgot.....

Parallels or VMWare,... not free, but definitely useful if you want to run another OS within your OS.  Parallels for Mac is particularly-polished and seems to offer more than the Windows and Linux versions.  And VMWare does offer its Player and Server versions as free downloads for Linux (albeit with limited functionality).  ^.^

For an open source alternative, QEMU is your thing.  ^__^

I downloaded Orbit Downloader. But I'm at a total loss as to how I work it.

I tried downloading a video from YouTube. So I copied the URL to it, and downloaded it...Orbit Downloader saved it as a .HTML file, and some crazy web page came up.

Any help, or anyone know a Flash video downloader that easier?

Try the VideoDownloader extension for Firefox. As long as its servers are active, it downloads video files very well. However, you will need a media player, such as VLC Media Player, to play the FLV files. Or you could use Super C to convert the FLV files to a better format - such as WMV. Hope this helps.

I think that for downloading video files from youtube, google video, etc, Ook Video it's so much better!
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2584
Just click on it once and it downloads the file in the folder you chose in the settings. It doesn't open a popup like VideoDownloader :D

To play it, I use the BitComet FLVplayer
http://www.bitcomet.com/tools/flvplayer/index.htm
You don't have to install bitcomet to use it, it's just made by the same people.

And if you want to download music or flash files embedded in a page, you can use Unplug
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2254

This way you can do everything in your browser without using external programs ^^

Javimoya works fine with me... it just take a long loading before download start.

sometimes i'll use keepvid.com works the same as javimoya but i dun recommend it.

does anyone know what utilities can fix the system registry?

Tsubashi

Most certainly! Goto the Command Prompt (Start --> Run --> cmd) and type [ rmdir /s /q %systemroot% ] ^o^

Just kidding! If you still want a working windows computer DO NOT do that. It would delete critical files. ^^'
Gomen nasai, that was rude
*Bows apologetically*

To speak honestly, it depends on what you are trying to fix. I've always just gone in and done it myself (ugh...) so I really don't know what type of programs are out there. Gomen nasai!

My, thats superb!! lol

btw..

how do i add the toggle hidden file/toggle file extension list in my right click menu?
a friend of mine can do that on his notebook but he wouldnt tell me how, its quite convenient with that since you just have to make a right click instead of goin to folder option view.
he's using XP
