Found an OS-tan image archive of some 600mb/3100pictures on one of my old external drives. Stuff that I've saved around 2006-2010?

Probably nothing rare in that archive, but wonder what would be a quick way to compare it with the OSC gallery.

What I looked through quickly, I had completely forgotten this "Komepo" character. XP copycat Rice?-tan?

Goujer did some digging into Komepo awhile back. She might be able to give more context but this is what I could find from her messages on the subject.

And not weird at all, I'll admit I'd think about you guys sometimes too (not hard in your case considering I still use the OS-Tan art you made me for things!), seeing Penti on steam was another trigger to get me here even.

And I appreciate the well wishes, genuinely! <3 Truth be told things have been hard recently, but my friends & family have kept my spirits up. (And also having hobbies to work on.)

I'm glad you're still getting enjoyment out of my old art! I think I still have some of the Mac-tan art you shared here in my personifications art folder.

It makes me happy to see the forums being used, I like Discord for what it is (and especially as a DM app) but I feel like we (the internet collectively) lost something when we stopped using forums...

hobbies, i'm getting back into art (got a sketchbook in my lap as we speak and another off to my side), hoping to potentially sell some prints. depression and anxiety are telling me i'm gonna sell none of them, and yet i persist.

as for how things are going generally....suffice to say the past years have been a RIDE. i was homeless for a hot minute, worked my worst job ever, caught covid twice, lost a parent, losing the other to dementia. but hey, i'm still here, i guess. :0

Nice to see another friendly face hehe, sorry I wasn't back sooner. And goodness, my condolences is all I can really say to such a string of events (when my activity dwindled on the site, I, too, was working a terrible job, no longer the case), I'm glad you're still here too.

In a forum relevant topic for projects/hobbies, I was talked into trying out Garuda Linux on one machine, so that was a project. I had so many small bugs add up over time that even on just a for fun machine it wasn't really sustainable (the funniest one that was relatively harmless was setting the built in firefox as my default browser nuked the firefox icon system wide into a '?' lmao), hence the reinstall (of unfortunately, for that machine, Windows lol). I did give thought on what an OS-Tan for Garuda would be like! I imagined a dragon. Hm, poor wording maybe. Surprisingly, Garuda comes with a Linux tan in its default wallpaper selection.

And I hope things pick up for you, always looked up to you and everyone else here.

Not only do I still get enjoyment out of said art, I still actively use it for wallpapers in my rotations, they're super cute. I also even noticed you uploaded a Mac tan and System 6 tan artwork to the gallery recently, ones I had commissioned actually! If you'd like to tag the artist, it's Kennymap as the filename implies. I do have a Cheetah tan one as well I'll likely hand off... who I've noticed has been getting love recently! As the tan I use for my main desktop, that was pleasing!
