(This is related to my most recent post in Favorite Songs, but it's only tangential so I'm putting it here.)

I found out that Boards of Canada referenced VMS & VAX in an alternate reality game that led up to the release of their latest album.

The really weird part is, this particular album is post-apocalyptic, and do you know what other post-apocalyptic thing referenced VMS? Fallout. (The original games seem to have referenced VAX as well).

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!

So, I want to the new McDonald's for lunch today; which opened last week. They tore down the original, circa '80s building back in January in order to rebuilt it from the ground up; finally addressing the long-standing problem of "parking lot is too damn small". The place is pretty nice, although it feels...too modern to be something in Palestine -w-;

Also, I spent most of the day talking to Pit about video game stuff, while waiting for my laundry to finish :3

Which, on a sadder note, the van's CD changer is dead. I would try to fix it, as it probably just needs some new fuses installed...but dad's possibly going to trade it in next weekend for a new truck, so I don't see much of a point. All I know is, I really need to get my information together to present my case on moving, before they start to wonder why I'm not immediately paying them for the Avenger.

How is AliExpress anyway? There are some accessories I want to buy from there but I've heard people say they've had issues with their credit card #'s getting stolen after buying from Chinese websites (I'm not sure if it was that site specifically).

@bells: the same issues that arise on ebay arise here. only buy from reputable sellers, know EXACTLY WHAT SIZE YOU NEED in terms of clothes, and get the shipping worked out before you even think of paying. i'm treading lightly since there were some items i was looking at that were from non-diamond quality stores (they use a little medal symbol for feedback scores from 1 - around 1000? and use a diamond or crown for things upward....their rating system is weird but if they have a diamond, a crown, or 3+ medals they're typically trustworthy), and taking it slow because of the budget, but otherwise the first order i made went fine, even if the sweater runs a little small (i expected that and they didn't have any higher sizes than L or XL, can't remember which i got). i'll let you know how order #2 went when it comes in.

however, for the time being i'm just going to panic about money because me and Steve are both now broke, and i need gas. ;v;

I have to be careful with gas in the van; I need to put some in, and make sure there's enough in there for dad to be able to drive it to Tyler to trade it for the truck he wants next weekend. Also, one of my coworkers can't seem to wrap his head around "sell the van, keep the Avenger"; he keeps getting it in his head that we're going to keep the 20+ year old van with some 230k+ miles on it, and sell the Avenger (Which just passed 100k miles) :\

i am hovering between a quarter of a tank and the red zone so i'm getting scared. i don't get paid till wednesday and need to go to work monday AND wednesday. ;^;

I think maybe he thinks the van is "mine" and is wondering why dad would take my vehicle to get himself something new (From a standpoint of driving it daily and covering most maintenance on it, yeah, it is mine. Legally, however, it's still dad's; his name is on the title).
