Also, given how often we do laundry here (Mom usually washes several baskets worth of clothes, bedsheets, blankets, etc. at a time), it's more convenient for us to have our own washer and dryer

It's a story where the player's a very talented AI / robotics post-grad student. I really like the fact that the decisions one makes have a real impact on the outcomes. What kind of role do robots have in the society? How will it affect humans' lives? That sort of thing. Loving it. ^^

Also, congrats on the decent wages!

Finally, being a firm opponent of royalty apart from the drama and drag kinds, I condemn any Pitking variants of my nickname. *firm nod*

@bells, pent: i grew up with every house having a washer and dryer and it annoys me that the place we're moving to doesn't have them even in the building. there's a centralized laundromat, but otherwise no. :\ (even the place we're moving to after Pent gets here only has a laundry room per building instead of each apartment having one--i understand the logic completely but i'm paranoid so i may still end up doing laundry at my parents/grandparents' to ensure that nothing gets stolen. ><; )
laundry usually amounts to once a week since i change my socks and undies every day. i'll also toss in random shirts/skirts/pants if they don't smell clean, and other peoples' stuff (as long as we're living together, basically my mum, sister when i lived with her, and now Steve) to fill out the load if need be. :0

Also, mmm. Kinda sucks, but a laundromat isn't bad as long as you stay there with your clothes until everything is done; so, bring a book and get as comfy as you can :3

as for laundromats... here we still do things the old fashioned way (mom has 2 washing machines and 7 clotheslines for drying) unless is special care clothes, then we send them to pro cleaners

The first two apartments I used to live in had public laundromats in basement. I was too shy to use one for the first two years, but after that it was fine - and nothing was ever stolen!

otherwise today was kind of meh. i sold jack shit. got some stuff via trading with other vendors, but otherwise everyone basically did shit in sales. it was likely just too hot today. i asked around and suggested to the hostess that they might try doing this again in about a month. :0
(i did get a bunch of manga, 3 DVDs, a new phone case/wallet combo, a box made out of an antique book, and a Japan-only Inuyasha lantern. :0 )

So, at long last, the van is back up and running; dad did some tests on it last night, and it's running a lot better, thanks in part to the new computer he installed on it. I haven't driven it yet, but I might get out to deposit some cash into savings :3

@pent: Katja came back by surprise yesterday. we both had a good car day! ^^

so yesterday was my first day of training at work! i took SUCH DETAILED NOTES so i could study them later.

then i got back here and stupidly(absentmindely) tried to update the OS on phone that they were on. that phone has been jailbroken.

all the notes got destroyed, along with all of the settings and the photos i took of some training stuff, etc.

cue me screaming, bawling, and throwing stuff.


(i'm better today; last night in a frenzy i wrote back down as many of the notes as i could remember, but i'd say i only got 82% at most--so i'm still gonna have to redo some of it. gonna see Claire later to have the phone reset. ;^; )

ha! i checked the phone after it was restored, and somehow the notes are on here! the phone must have backed up before trying to install the update, for once i can say go iTunes. xD
