not to pry, but did you meet the girl in person?

cause i speak from experience when i say that random internet relationships never last~

(bells and stew aren't really counted here since they knew each other well before dating, and have met up in person several times/made future plans together.)

Now she wants me back... apparently she thought my summer plans to see her were on shaky grounds.

We talk to each other on skype, we text each other constantly, like into the wee hours of the night.
We have never seen each other face to face physicaly, but the plan was and still is for me to go this summer.

I'm not surprised. I've heard of a lot of people who "break up" in anger/sadness/frustration and then ask to get back together shortly thereafter.

It's up to you to decide what to do. If you get back together, try to set up some ground rules - let her know you care about her and that you were very hurt when she broke up with you. Try to resolve to work through your troubles rationally instead of acting on emotion or impulse. Figure out a way to see each other if that's the root of the issue, and make sure your plans are set in stone if you do decide to meet up.

@Pent: What Simon said. Work on being yourself and being comfortable with yourself, most people are very attracted to confidence. (Of course, some people go overboard with this and wind up sliding into arrogant douche territory.) Also, cultivating one or more skills or areas of knowledge is helpful too. Lastly, socializing with like-minded people helps. Granted, I have trouble with this too ... so I can't give advice on how to find like-minded people offline.

ik it's a bit of a ways off, but when you move here you'll be dragged to a lot of events i go to, such as cons, larps, and the club, so you'll have the opportunity to meet a lot more people.

Which, assuming nothing major comes up, I plan to be ready to move by the time I get my tax return next year; giving myself a few months afterward to tie off some loose ends before I leave.

@Simon: I'm very sorry to hear it didn't work out. Try not to be too hard on yourself, though. As long as you acted with honesty and sincerity, you didn't do anything wrong — if she still chose to break it off in spite of your best efforts, that's her loss.

That stun gun case is cool though. I wonder if anything like that's available for any of the Galaxy phones.

@Genpop: Got out and did some errands today (groceries, mostly), had a tasty sushi lunch and found a cute shirt on sale at the outlet mall. On the way home dad and I stopped at Dunkins' to use up some coupons I had. I got a really good coffee and a half-dozen donuts for $5. :3
