Maybe?  For some reason, given where it was in my notes, I took it for a 70s-80s microcomputer OS.

Do we have a Pilot Automatic Computing Engine-tan?  I don't remember there being one, but she is spiritually at least G-15's mother.  If you have ideas, go for it.  Being Turing's solo product definitely gives her some interesting traits, I'm sure, and she'd be a sibling to the Manchesters.  I also thought there was a MOSAIC-tan, but I guess not either.

Culver's would be cool.  Even living in a heavily populated area it's like half an hour to a Wendy's, even if there are two McDonalds in town for some reason.  I could go back, you have a lot more time to do things when you're not constantly going places, haha

Kinda curious, I do love me some RPs!

Consider it added to the next sketch page. :3

SAGE-tan holding it together for Whirlwind-hime is actually really heartwarming. I kinda want to write something with that.

I've never actually done OS-tan related RPs before but I do miss the old forum RPs we used to have, so I'm intrigued!

Nifty! I'll need 1960s MBTA uniform refs too in that case. ^_______^

This is totally beside the point, but is the ACE you referred to in the OP the Pilot ACE perchance?

I thought we had an ACE-tan already, but I may just be thinking of the references to her being Bendix G-15-tan's mom.

With my renewed interest in Gen 1 computers I'd be curious to see a -tan for her!

Ugh, yeah, that is the tradeoff of rural/small town living. When I lived out in the sticks the nearest Taco Bell was a half hour away so that was a special treat, and Arby's & Popeyes were even rarer. Walmart for everything too.

OTOH the mom 'n pop restaurants were top notch, despite the small selection. I hope some of your local diners and such are good!

I must say, I would kill for a Culver's close by.

I missed that!  Whoops ><

The answer for earlier usage seems to be they bought two IBM System 360 Model 40s for engineering and administrative work in the mid-60s, and a General Automation 18/30 was the first to computerize operations on the MBTA with improvements to the Green Line trolleys in 1974.  So that would be DOS/360-tan and DBOS-tan who I unceremoniously cancelled working on six years ago in the first post of this thread.
