Mixi is a Japanese social networking website which focuses on meeting people through shared interests. Also has a music section where users can share music from their iTunes or WMP programs. Mixi also uses a lot of open source technology and is an invitation-only service.
Mixi-tan appears as a cheerful girl with blue hair in pigtails long enough to touch the ground, has red eyes and her outfit is an orange dress, beige shawl with eyeholes in it and orange shoes which is based off of the appearance of the Mixi mascot who accompanies her, a little smiling robot doll with beige face, hands, feet and orange chassis.
