Fark-tan is a news lady (although she claims not to be because she considers most stories not to be news) who specializes in telling odd, interesting, cool and stupid news stories and adding witty headlines to them. She is portrayed as a young girl with slate blueish-purple + white pigtails in the shape of the Fark F logo, wears a three-piece outfit and carries a periwinkle tote bag with her that carries the tags that she uses to describe articles as well as odd situations she is in (examples of tags are Obvious, Cool, Dumb***, Weird and Scary) She has a unique way of speaking, in the style of headlines (such as Not news: ___ News: ____ Fark: ____, This ____ story brought to you by ___, The coolest ___ you'll see all day) and also uses other Fark-isms /Fark cliches (and sometimes variations of them) such as EVERYBODY PANIC!!, Find Sarah Connor, Tastes like chicken, What could possibly go wrong?, and Still no cure for cancer
She is also very experienced with photo editing and also sponsors contests on a daily basis. She is close friends with BBSpot-tan, Slashdot-tan, Something Awful-tan and The Smoking Gun-tan.
