you mean the nerds who look at porn all night? :\

i hate "macho men" and the whole "manliness displays". that wasn't what i meant, just to clarify.

and nej, you don't have to worry about that. i'm hoping to teach my kids to BUILD a computer by at least 7. :3 (btw, mah computer total has jumped to 5 [6 if you count the empty husk taking up space on the floor])

Kidding!  If you feel like being asexual or aromantic, then that's your descision.  Now I know why you laughed like a raving lunatic when I asked how your love life was... XD

I know, right? :V But it's not exactly a conscious decision on my part, it's just how I am. (B-b-bwahaha--! Yes, that, and also because I had never had that question posed to me so bluntly before. XD)

That being said, if I ever DID develop feelings for or fall in love with a person, I wouldn't fight it... I just don't think could ever get into a relationship with somebody for the soul purpose of being their girlfriend. D'you know what I mean?

no, seriously. you sound alot like me. .____. i do my best to internalize most emotion as to not burden other people (however this backfires horribly, and even then i don't do a very good job of it, as most of my friends will tell you that i can have a temper. ^^; )

i am physically female. i do not intend to change this fact. mentally, i show traits of both genders, all the way down to who i'm attracted to (bisexual and proud). most "girly" things disgust me, i hate the colour pink in most forms, and when i have kids, i will buy them barbies AND GI Joes (or X-men), regardless of their gender. i will teach my kids to be themselves, no matter what society tells them.

i define "being a man" as being brave, responsible, and having guts(balls) and heart, and passion. which makes me more of a "man" than most guys i know.

I CAN'T HELP MEH MAD TELEPATHY SKILLS! ;O;

Yes, I know that feeling exactly... so much drama in life already, it feels wrong adding to it (plus I feel funny leaving myself so emotionally-open). I'm a bit temperamental too, probably more physically so than passive-aggressive... -__-;

Despite being asexual I can be attracted to the aesthetic and/or psychological beauty in people regardless of gender. It's just that I'm not... you know... sexually attracted to them. Having well-rounded interests is always a good thing, better to let your passions define you than your gender define your passions. (Besides which, it's been said before that some of the most emotionally-sound and well-adjusted people are androgynous in their roles and interests).

I agree with Pitkin's criticisms of your "being a man" statement... but I think I know what you mean. Neither gender nor sex effect's how brave, passionate or responsible a person is... but men typically behave more physically-aggressive than women, and are more prone to rashness and risk-taking (there's certainly a biological aspect to this, but on the other hand, boys are often allowed to be aggressive and reckless while girls are usually discouraged from such behaviour).

Quote from: "Pitkin"In fact, gender variance has been present in humans for a very long time...

Also, the suffix "-sexual" refers most of the time to sexuality, and not to gender, and also sexual variance has always existed. Homosexuality, bisexuality (and asexuality) have not only existed always, but are present also in many other species than just humans. There's little doubt that "alternative sexual preferences" have always been around, the only question is how hidden or marginalized they have been kept by the majority.

Couldn't have said it better myself... there isn't anything new about third genders or non-heterosexual sexualities, just how open people are about it.

But people are still ridiculed about not being heterosexual. I would know, I live in Texas where they don't allow gay marriage or divorce.

ARE YOU MY CLONE? O_____O

lol. i don't get into relationships for that purpose. if i'm gonna date someone, it's cause i have feelings for them. hoever, sometimes those feelings are skewed....(as in my last relationship) ;___;
however, even under all that ski gear, you are rather pleasing... ;] (xD had to.)

i suppose the whole "being a man" thing is a tad cliche'd. i probably should have kept it down to the simple fact that i have more balls than most guys i know, and i'm a chick. xD

i mean to say that i have more guts that people.

no one ever thinks the crazy goth chick can pull out some girly. i would make a surprisingly good housewife (just ask nej, i was cooking the meals and sewing all con).

NO YOU'RE MY CLONE. :V

Call me naive or idealistic or whatever you want to, but I think it's a good thing to know somebody as a friend before dating him/her... it's not a must, but it I think it helps. (At least from what I've witnessed with friends and family). But yeah. I am in no position to give any sort of dating advice.

(Oh you. xD)

Ah, I get what you mean now... ballsy-ness seems to be a vastly over-masculinized trait.

I'm sort of the unofficial maid/housekeeper of my family, so I've picked up a few housewifery skillz. Cleaning, dish-washing, organization... D:
