Got the old computer to run!

It's got an HP motherboard, so I had to explicitly enable LBA in the BIOS...

And, ehh... I used DOS's fdisk, which decided that the 80gb hdd is actually just 10gb.
And then DOS's format, which decided the same thing.

But it somehow spit out an 80gb FAT32 partition
I'm happy :p

can you use all 80gb? or just 10?

svx

All 80gb!  I'm as confused as everyone else about it, don't worry

Just let it be

Just curious, but what mouse do you guys use with your, ehh... OS? (second part cleverly added to keep things on topic! :p)

I bought one of these a week ago:

Best decision ever! I hate big mice. My old mouse was some old IBM laptop mouse with a jitter problem...

But new-old computer ams using a big, clunky, oldschool HP mouse

Could use the Microsoft InPort though...
But I think the board is ISA :p

I use... the standard.... Mac optical mouse... I don't know what it's called actually. >__>

My friend has a Razor, I droll over it when I'm able to use it...

Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000
Dell keyboard
Logitech headset

Should we make a hardware topic? It would be nice to see what hardware everyone uses!

Red-Machine

Saitek Cyborg V1 keyboard & mouse.  Pretty nice set and cheap, too.

Mighty Mouse ouo

Mac mice used to have such a high build quality, now they just feel like cheap tat.  The Pro mouse & keyboard set, along with the proceeding non-pro model were the last good ones, IMO.  The iMac/Power Mac G3/G4 mouse shaped like a hockey puck sucks ass.

I don't know what Apple and its designers were thinking when they designed that hockey puck mouse. -_-

We played hockey in computer class with'em the day we got new mice.
