Uhh...  My main computer is a 400 MHz PowerMacG3 with 256 MB of RAM, 2 hard drives, one with about 2.5 GB and the other inexplicably ranges from 700 MB to zero KB! (also sometimes X11, which is needed to run Inkscape, acts strangely.) Runs Mac OS 10.3.9 and 9.2.2

But I also sometimes use my dad's Mac Mini (G4 processor, 1.42 GHz, I think. Runs 10.4 and I think has 512 MB RAM and a 160 GB hard drive). This (and my brother's PowerMacG4) is/are the only computer(s) in the house that act(s) normally.

But sometimes use my mom's PC (it's some sort of Dell running XP Home)

I also have a Powerbook 1400cs with a Power PC 603e processor @ 117 MHz, running OS 8.1 and has a battery life of 15 minutes and the CD drive inexplicably stopped working altogether and also have a Powerbook 540c with a 68040LC processor @ 33 MHz running System 7.5 but sadly it is falling apart and barely works :(

My PCs are crap by todays standards, so it doesn't end up being very long.   ;137

Having the Amigas helps quite a bit tho.   :smoke:

raid 0 isnt dangerous.  not with the up to date bios, its actually faster and more reliable than raid 5

Kami-Tux

Raid 0 has a risk which is n times higher than one hard disk where n is the amount of hrddisks in the raid-array.

Faster? Absolutely. More Reliable? Umm... not really. Because RAID 0 utilizes no redundancy, it has no fault tolerance (unless, of course, you are some sort of data recovery specialist). Failure of any drive results in loss of all data. If you're not backing up frequently, you really must not care for that data! ^^'

Damn straight!!  ^v^

If the Captain's foolishness is true, then AmigaBob,... for the sole fact of having two Miggies at home,... is practically a sex GAWD!!  ^v^

So all you scrubs step aside... sex god coming through.... no autographs please.....  -v-

*starts shoving posters to make way for AmigaBob*

BTW, don't remember what Raid is in this context, so I'll just politely nod my head.  ^^'

RAID - Redundant Array of Inexpensive Drives

Basically uses software or hardware to treat multiple drive as one. it can be used to increase data integrity, fault-tolerance, throughput and/or capacity.

I only know because I use RAID 0+1 for my webserver ^^'

I don't like e-Penis comparisms... I always finish rather low: a slow-ish PC (too few RAM!), a crappy connection and normally, I am not even torrenting stuff.
