My sister had this thing called a "WoPad"; which was so bad that Amazon pulled it from their site after a few months due to most being defective (Although, according to Stewart Ashen's review of it, it was an improvement over its predecessor: the HaiPad)

Ah... pre-ICS android knockoffs... i had a "maylong" 7" tablet once. *shudders* Sent the stylus through the screen, uber pissed at it. Thos 2.2 tabs all were mass produced and marketed by different brands. They all looked the same, only difference being custom firmware (to avoid easily rooting the suckers and, idk, making them useful)

Cheapo tabs have improved though since ICS. My 9y.o. brother got a tablet for his birthday. $60. Worked great till he somehow corrupted the memory, requiring a reset (i also think he got syrup on it)

Who here has been keeping up with *Cortana lately in the tech news?
*The Assistant, Not the Halo Character

I'm personally excited. Everything I've read or seemingly paints a picture of an assistant with more contextual awareness than Now, and a personality like Siri, with it being a core experience at the heart of a device, instead of just a voice you talk to.

It looks like Microsoft may actually of been smart to take their time in (re)joining the Mobile Assistant game...

Don't know if this is still a thing, but...

Note that in the UK, the phone is called the Orange San Fransisco (Orange is a phone network which has since merged with T-Mobile to create EE).

Here is what it sorta looks like (obvs not my photo):

Maybe... although they'll run slower because it only has a 600 mhz processor.
