Well, I submit my resume to Apple tomorrow after I'm done with school and then I wait and see. I'm just hoping they accept me so I can get experience from the work and hopefully get an employee discount which will help If I'm able to buy a new iMac because the newest Macintosh computer I own is from 2003 -.-;

A little worried because from what I've read they might not accept me for my age even though I have the skill needed for the job and that would really blow. Even if that happens I will still have the family computer business for work and that pays WAY better then a crap salary from Apple :D

Chocofreak13

if your family business pays better, why are you going for apple? purely the experience? :\

Quote from: "Stew"As per driving: I take posted 25 mph curves at at least 30-35, destroyed old man winter's attempts to prevent me from getting to my (at the time) girlfriend's house, and routinely drive in ice/snow...... I am also very sorry for mentioning any of that since it makes me sound like an insufferable ass.  I hate driving.

D'awwww, you'll do anything for lurve~ ^^

I take posted 25mph curves at 20 or so! Begin to feign sobbing whenever oncoming traffic approaches! The names of deities are invoked often when I go above 45mph! (As in, "OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD~")

For all the terror I actually enjoy driving, or at least my part of it; what EVERYONE else is doing makes me nervous.... >>;;

Its ok Bells, that Osborne should be up and running in no time with your skillz!

As for why I'm working for Apple instead of my family buisness, its really just so I can get some retail skills for the family buisness as I am to enherit the buisness and need to have some exsperience in retail. My dad also started working with computers at compUSA working and selling Macintosh until he started working with Windows 3.1 machines and such, I guess its in the blood :D

Chocofreak13

i think that's sweet. makes me wish i had a family business to carry on; the only thing we have is my uncle's store (which his family is going to carry on) and my dad's construction business (which means unless i somehow marry a contractor, that's gonna die with him :\).

oh well. if you want retail experience, pretty much any store will do. :\ but the mac is a plus, i guess. :3

Oh God, the forum's been changed in the night! This is like going into your favourite grocery store and discovering that they've remodeled, and now you can't find any of your favourite items! ;O;

*wanders around in circles*

Also: I wants my OpenVMS rank back. ;o;

Not sure if I'm supposed to work at all this month; I should probably go see my boss or something.  Either way, I've got to be in a mock trial on the 19th!  Could've been a lawyer or policeman but instead opted in for court clerk/recorder.  Means I have to run a stopwatch which I'm totally fine with.

Work is quite a depressing topic currently: I've been unemployed since returning from France, and have nothing really in sight for the spring. Things are not helped by the fact I'll have a compulsory medical leave of four-six weeks coming up in about mid-way between now and my move to France. I'm hoping to find a job in the new country still, but right now I lack things to do during days. ._.

I'm still lacking in a real job, this is just college work study.  Thus I actually receive no money.  And because of federal budgets cuts I can't make as much/work as much as I used to.

Chocofreak13

can we get off this topic please? it makes me sad inside. ;___;

look what i just realized!
