Those are pretty much the standard directions, but it's all greek to me. Dunno how the whole boot disk thing works (I've bootable CD-induced brain damage remember?) though Red has mentioned installing OS/2 from MSDOS....

Also, all i saw on those links were random lists of mostly OS/2 Warp 4 torrents. Not that I could download anything anyway, my Mac is utterly unable to torrent for reasons outside my knowledge, and I don't have any other working computers at the moment. D:

(4.5 was a server release, btw)

Do you have the 4.52 to begin with, or just the 4.0?

As for boot disks, it's not all that difficult - hell, you can usually install a boot "floppy" on a flashie and it'll be all A-OK.

You should be able to look up torrenting directions for mac troubles online - might be your local uplink config causing troubles though, so no promises on that.

Otherwise you can just wait for me to DL this thing and I'll get it sent to you personally.

On a less topic-related topic: I've spent 90% of the last two weeks either in my PJ's or in my underwear.

IT'S SO DAMN WARM ON THIS STUPID ISLAND AND MY ARMS HURT

Speaking of which, I've written a set of cover lyrics on that topic (arms hurting, general overheating and whining and such) for PURE PURE HEART, and I must say the end result is rather fancy. If I can get my folks to agree to it, I'll have it performed with the Clan band on my parents' 2x50-year party this summer. Fabulous~ -w-
(is in swedish thou, so no reading for you folks. too bad -w-; )

well, it does get warmer than this. Earlier, we had 84F/29C high temps today.
It's a nice, comfortable, 74F/23C at the moment (5pm).

By force of habit, I'll probably be spotted wearing a thin jacket/windbreaker tonight (I tend to always wear one. This skinny Los Angeles-born OSC'er is sensitive to cold, and only recently seemed to get used to walking around temps around 15-20C without jackets/windbreakers/etc). Tonight's lows will be around 63F/17C.

Also, as a LA resident, I thoroughly enjoy what little rain we get. It's a nice change of pace... as long as you're not on the road with clueless drivers who can't drive on slightly wet pavement.

Also, must note, it's a very dry place here. Not much of that sticky heat that even I can't stand in other places. Makes what seems to others to be "high" temps a lot more tolerable around here. so yeah, no sauna here. more like... toaster oven? haha...

I have the 4.0 ISO.

And it's going to be installed in virualbox, so the floppy images would just be loaded into the virtual floppy drive.

I have no idea what the problem could be... the other computers on the network were always able to torrent, but they're unfortunately not working at the moment. <<

Maybe it's a matter of personal references, but somehow I feel it annoying when you cannot take a step out of your house without becoming soaking wet. Oh well, I can admit that too much warm can be difficult to deal with, too.

@bella: my brother thinks i might be chewing in my sleep. at any rate, there are roughly 4-5 sore-cut-things in my mouth, one of which is affecting a tooth. >___< the two worst are right at the part of the cheek where it starts turning into lip; that little corner of the mouth, there are 2 there that looks like i tried to give myself a snakebite piercing and failed. >___<

and i feel the same, although i hate the cold. >___<
