zen, i like your name. :3
stew: i like old-fashioned names, and old-fashioned stuff, for that matter. laughabally enough (sp?) i even use the old-fashioned method at school when multiplying binomials. ^^;

and, i can't sleep without this pillow. IT'S A CHUNK OF MY SOUL~~~
srsly, it is, and i freak a bit if anyone goes near it. it's weird, ik, but i figure everyone needs something precious to them and them alone that they feel the need to protect. for me, it's my pillow and plushies, for without them, i wouldn't be here talking to you about camping today.

Bella

This thread, it's made of win and pancakes. Wikiwalks are also... made of WIN AND PANCAKES.

Nyquil? NEVAR! I face my colds like a man, grrr~! Those are some lovely names there... especially Charlotte, Ophelia and Milo, and Vincent's really nice too. Classic names seem to be more forgiving and adaptable than the modern or trendy ones...

I really like the names Leander, Evangeline, Naomi, Malachi and Opal, oh, and Julia/Julian too. Hopefully if I adopt a kid someday s/he will come pre-named though, because I wouldn't want to stick a kid with a name s/he'll hate for the rest of her/his life. >.>

Hmph, you have to come up here and do some forest-walking! We hueg lakes and mountains and Notches and all those fun things.

Iron tastes like blood. Or maybe blood tastes like iron? It's scary that I know exactly how each tastes... D:

Larps sound like so much fun. :V

Pillows? I've four, yes FOUR pillows and without each and every one I cannot get a good nights sleep. Well, maybe I could get by with three...

Quote from: "stewartsage"Yessss, very much.  Binghamton Whalers hockey!

Hopefully, one of my best friends from high school lives there now.  AND YOU BETTER SHOW AND TELL!

Maybe? Mhmm, that I know.

Your first name.  I knowz it.

Its the comradarie and the songs.  And frequently uncomfortable sleeping conditions.

Not especially ^^'

Funny camping/water quality story time.  Two years ago where I went to scout camp, they'd built the whole shebang in the basin of an abandoned iron mine from the 1800's.  There was still a lot of iron in the ground.  Everywhere there was a tap, it was stained red-brown from the iron content.  Which isn't terribly dangerous but not terribly pleasant either.  Also, it almost made me punch a guy for being a smart ass.

That's pretty decently tall, even without boots or heels.  Maybe you're just imposing.

Oh no!  Allergies acting up here, but only intermitently poor.

Right right right!

Always fun visiting old friends, this happens a lot for me on my summer vacation. YES! OF COURSE.

Clever guy! The second is fairly obvious too...

No amount of camaraderie can make up for uncomfortable sleeping conditions. ><;

Meh, I consider anything taller than 5'8'' "tall" and anything less than 5'5'' to be "short", man or woman. ^^;;

At least the campers weren't plagued with anemia! To the questionable water story bandwagon: I met a guy who's grandfather used to take him water skiing... in Boston Harbor. During the 1970s. He admits it probably wasn't such a hot idea...

You think? ' ' I try to be as imposing as I can, bwahaha.

Allergies aren't fun. ><;;

Quote from: "Zen"*hugs bella* get well soon ;_;

since people have been giving names i think it's fair i give mine too.

It's ALWIN. \o/

which i googled and means something like Elf Friend. too bad i don't wanna be JUST FRIENDS with em delicious Elves ;D

oh and i was staying over at a friend's house during the weekends and we tried to do an all nighter with fatal frame 4. We had mac and cheese and a ton of tacos for snacks, all made by me. \o/

Thankee, it's not too terrible... it only hurts when I BREATHE, so yeah...

Alwin's a nice name. ^^

Sounds like fun. :B

zjhentohlauedy

@zen: there's no shame in PPG. i myself was a hugeass fan back in the day......and still have the poster....and dolls.....and books.....and movie.....
and still read the fanfic ;D
and have the rave song. xD

@Bella: i like the names evangeline and naomi. i named the dolly i made evangeline. ^^ leander is cool too
and my psudonym is "julie thompson". xD it's the name on my email and i sometimes use it for personal info. i used it to get a free song from the govt. w/o signing up for military service or something. ^^;
well, you make take your colds like a man bella but YOU COULD WIN THIS FABULOUS CAR IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT!!!

srsly, i went into school hopped up on nyquil once. literally told a teacher to "go with the flow". my sis was taking care of me (along with her boyfriend at the time, ben, whom i now consider my brother) cause my parents were in europe, and the school called her and told her never to send me in like that again.... ^^;

Choco: Older stuff just has a more attractive design style, especially from the 50's and 60's.

Nyquil should always be taken with caution.

Zen: That is a good name, certainly one you can have a lot of fun with.

Bella: I forgot to pass on my own wishes for your recovery.  Personally, I'd suggest lots of fluids and you'll feel better (success not garunteed).

Well there is iron in blood I think.

Over the years I've developed the ability to sleep anywhere except for cars without being bothered for the most part.

That sounds like the the best idea ever!  Did he get super powers?

Most of my friends are around six feet, at least the guys, though I've been taller then my aunt since third grade or so.

ph33r Bella!

That is, pretty tall.

I'm afraid I can't reveal my psudonyms to the general public, but there are several.
I WANT TO WIN THAT CAR

Oh I would huh?  Well, it is an interesting concept.
I know what 'cho talkin' bout Kari..... RIP Gary.....

Boston Harbor, which is worse.

Stanley Cup hockey everyone, the Leighton just let two goals in after stopping about 15 shots.  COME ON OFFENSE, HE CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH SCORE SOME FUCKING GOALS!

Bella

OH TO THE EM GEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Just found out that my grandfather and step-grandmother are visiting in little over a week. Visitors = touring, touring = trips to interesting local areas, the most interesting local(ish) area = Boston. IMMA VISIT THE CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS!!!

Also, my grandpa says he's gonna look for my dad's vintage typewriter, it's somewhere in his garage. Here's hoping he finds it... *wrings hands*

More interesting things: started talking with my grandpa about his time in the Navy, he was in the service during the latter part of WWII and anyway, long story short, turns out he took some "computer training" classes. What mid 1940s "computer training" classes were and what kinds of computers he used remains a mystery, but hey: 1940s MILITARY COMPUTERS. Maybe they were the cousins of Harvard Mark I and ENIAC and Whirlwind and things... ^^

@Zen: it's no surprise that you're made entirely of Win. :]

@Nej: you lives in the land of the tall~! :V

@Kari: Evangeline is Eve's full name (that's my iMac, lol). Psudonyms are fun! I have several. ¬.¬

I WANT THAT FABULOUS CAAAAAR! It's so cute, I wanna pick it up and put it in my shirt pocket. :3

That's the reason you take nyquil at night and dayquil at day. D:

@Stew: Thank you very much. I'm feeling slightly better now... at least I'm not as achy and it doesn't hurt when I BREATHE, but I'm still all stuffy. Yuck. Yep, been drinking lots of water and juice...

Yes, there's iron in blood.

Didn't know that swimming in filth gave a person superpowers! Too bad he didn't go snorkling in the Charles River, he'd be the Incredible-friggin-Hulk by now. :V

I'm surrounded by a lot of shortish people for some reason. Phear me or I'll give you something to fear, fufufu~! yeah not really

stewartsage

WOOOOOOOO!  My dad's tried to convince my mom that Boston would be fun.  It meets sarcasm everytime.  Not gonna happen.

Score! Typewriter time!

Hmm, anti-aircraft gun batteries also had/have something called a gun computer (also called a gun director) used to calculate range and altitude of a target.  Not as interesting as a Hahvahd Mk. I, but a Bell Labs or Sperry product!

Fun Dayquil story.... wait, no.

No, snorkling in the Charles would kill you.  Silly Bella.

2 MORE DAYS AND THEN I'M OFF THIS FUCKMAHELLING ISLAND FOREVER.

Every morning I have this rough minute of complete disillusion when I can't keep any grip on reality whatsoever, and my body is starting to seriously break down in places. THIS ISLAND DOESN'T WANT TO LET ME GO >_>
YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS

VonDaab

Island?

I'm supposed to relocate to the UK, as soon I've gathered resources for it and I get to know when the appartment has been arranged.
In other words, in July.

NejinOniwa

Gotland, señor.

So you're getting yourself island-trapped as well, huh? Not that the UK is all that island-ish in comparison, but still...well, hold your fort. -w-

JUST 1 MORE DAY NOW
YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS

Red-Machine

Britain's hardly an island, it's more of a mini-continent.Tho those don't technically exist...
