Try having a half-drunk clone on your ass trying to get you bat-ass drunk. Plus, the rum was gone. Now THAT stuff is good. Or better, at least. Still prefer sake and gin, though, but there wasn't any of that in the first place.

Now beer is vile. I won't even try touching that shit again. Wine and champagne is quite bad as well but the alcohol percentage is high enough to justify that. (also, fabulous + sophisticatedfag = winnage, maybe) Ah damnit, I'm not getting anywhere with this, I might as well just quit.

Oh, believe me, if you're saying what I think you're saying, I can totally relate (my brother kept putting a beer/mixed drink in my hand).

Yeah, I forgot about rum.  I've had Sailor Jerry, and that stuff is waaaay too sweet.  I was told mixing it with RC Cola made it taste like Dr. Pepper, gah, it tastes like cough syrup.  I guess I don't make much of a good pirate or Irishman, eh?

Finnish vodka with licorice mix. That IS basically cough syrup, plus 50 volume percent of alcohol mixed in somewhere... >_>

To sum it up...

It's awful.

NejinOniwa

Thank you for that, Admiral Obvious.

Now, whoever comes up with a good un-topicly topic for this thread gets a hug.
...from Bella.
I decided that.

Well, Nejin, with all the time you've spent in the Member Introduction thread, you must've noticed the influx of new blood this forum's been getting.  I don't know how many are here simply for our hot, fappy porn, but I've noticed a lot of activity in the MI thread (noted most of it by us old regulars, but there have been some unexpected returns and fresh meat).

Since I believe you were among the people concerned about the lack of membership, has this not improved your outlook?

The Choice of a New Generation.

NejinOniwa

*puts posh glasses on* Why, dear me! You're spot on, Argyle!

Frankly, I can't help but remaining pessimistic on that point. What the forum needs isn't just another influx of new members per se - we need the good kind, the ones that provide. And sadly I haven't been seeing too much of that tone recently - might be I looked over things, but I can't help but despair even further at the sight of barely-correct grammar in half of all newbie posts I read.

TL;DR, no, I'm still being pessimistic and doomsreader-y. And a handful of projects on my own end prevents me from doing anything artistic whatsoever - aside from what I'm already doing, that is. -.-

Now, when did this thread turn into my personal blog, I wonder...

...what? you looking at me?

I mean, if I understood that right, you want more original content?

IanDanKilmaster

Well, I agree Nejin, but I generally refrain from making such criticisms because, well, let's just say, how many contributions have you noticed by yours truly?  Sure I could draw something, but I wouldn't like it.  Chances are I'd get all jazzed about and idea I had, put the pen to the paper, but once I noticed I couldn't get my philistine hands to scratch out the image in my head, I'd be so sick with it I couldn't even finish (or if I did finish, it'd be half-assed).  Of course, I make these kind of excuses all the time when it comes to explaining why I don't do art, but it's true, it's the kind of overachieving self-defeatism that gets in the way of most everything I try to do.  Often times I feel as though I'm a leech in this forum.

TL;DR, IDK == newbies

So I guess what this really boils down to is that OS-tan fandom is still simmering a bit (it's going strong but not as much as it used to be), but OS-tan artists are becoming more scarce.  More than likely, artists are probably bored with the OS-tan thing.  So I guess the OSC is experiencing a recession/depression as well?  Demand up, supply down, eh?

Unrelated question - dude, where's my space galleon?

While that is what he meant, I don't think he's referring to you (you're joking aren't you?).  More specifically we were discussing to new members.  Having seen what you can do VonDaab, you're among those few members here capable of contributing.  I mean, how many arts (yeah it sounds stupid, but I'm referring to anything drawing, painting, etc.) have we seen from new members?

The Choice of a New Generation.

NejinOniwa

Ho, ho, IDK, no need to worry for you. The "having-been-around-almost-as-long-as-mineself"-stamp does that work for you, so you don't need to worry about it much ^^
Also, while you might not have contributed artistically, you've contributed in other ways (mostly in the computer section). From my point of view, while it doesn't fill up our demand of drawings, it does fill up your "quota", or something like that. ^^
That is to say, might be wisely done of you to refrain from that, I dunno. I just rely on my title as biggest and baddest guy around as a right to do mostly whatever I want in that field, haha. ^^

The dream of every /b/-tard...more original content.

That applies here too ^^

Still, enough of this depressed shit. It's time for...

This demon has in the last week been seeing the downside of the thermometer, blended in with snow. Dipping in at -28 and windy, skiing got REALLY frosty there for a while, lulz. ^^
Back home it's just a mild -10, but! They say it's gonna pop up soon, oh, the HORROR!

So, /osc/, how's your Januweather been so far?

For the record - like it matters - I must state again my Irishness (non-regional) that makes me pale-skinned enough to appreciate the cold.  What I do not appreciate however, is raindrops and chunks of drywall hitting me as I sleep -__-.  After what has to have been two days straight of pouring rain, I think it's finally stopped for awhile.

Aw, poor sod. Rain in the winter is never win...

Yeah, but spring showers are worse (cliché, but true).  Getting pelted with cold droplets does indeed suck, but try it in warm weather clothing with even more rain.  I'm not really sure if you can relate on that last bit, however, given the region in which you live.
