My life is kind of okay, I guess. A bit dull most of the time. Also, insufficient funds. But that's okay.

I'm somewhat worried about a friend of mine. I visited her for a few days last week, and she has changed a lot in the last year or so. She has become racist, and apparently she believes in a lot of conspiracy theories. Aand she talks about god a lot and is worried about me going to hell after I die.

Right now I'm writing a letter to her, hoping it would somehow cure her.

Yikes, I'm sorry to hear that. It's always sad to see a friend's politics take a turn for the worse. I hope you can reach out to her and help her to get away from whatever is influencing her in this direction (since there's usually somebody/somebodies to blame, this stuff doesn't happen in a vacuum).

Looking back, there was a time in my life when I was at risk of going down a pretty bad path, politically speaking (though the opposite direction of your friend); removing myself from echo chambers, making friends with a wider range of political opinions and actually thinking critically helped pull me back. It helped that my friends never gave up on me and were always willing to engage even if we didn't see eye-to-eye.

My life is going decently, at least; I have a vacation in less than a week :3
That aside, it's basically the same old, same old...but, one of the coworkers I like has returned, which has made things a bit more fun at work

So, I'm seriously considering getting a new phone, so I can play Pokémon Go; many of my coworkers already do, and it looks cool...but my Galaxy S3 needs to be on KitKat, and my wonderful provider won't issue an update for this phone they still sell for $175 on their website, so it's stuck on an outdated version of Jellybean.
