If only...

For real though, when somebody talks about how the US is the shittiest place on earth I pretty much instantly assume they know nothing about history, world politics or current events and can only parrot the latest pseudo-progressive opinions of the day.

Lumping a nation of 300,000,000+ ethnically, culturally & regionally diverse human beings as being a bunch of lazy fat morons makes me want to punch a wall/face, the lack of awareness would be almost awe-inspiring if it weren't so infuriating.

@Bella: I'd say who I immediately thought of when you described that douche, but I best not say anything. Regardless, I hate peoole like that; I had to deal with people who subscribe to the "pretzel Alibaba gunna take er gunz" mindset when I still worked retail :/

On break right now. Just finished a salad -w-

its a very nice school, yes, a catholic school, but the community is great and catholic teenagers are the right kind of nutjobs for me

(saint michael's college)
What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two figures of your favorite Touhou characters. Look again, the figures are now vials of the Hourai Elixir. Anything is possible when your waifu smells like Old World and not a man. I'm a frog.

@bells: and this is why we don't talk to those types. 0w0;

Out of curiosity, on average how religious are the students there? From anecdotal evidence I've picked up over the years, lapsed/non-practicing Catholics make up a not-insignificant portion of the Catholic school environment. I've also heard that a lot of Catholic colleges these days are Catholic in name and tradition but aren't especially religious and are about as progressive as other colleges. Does that match at all with your experiences?

Cockleshell

this college is very progressive and liberal (it's in northern vermont of course it would be) but it's still very inundated in religious imagery.

that IS rather interesting. with Burlington being such a large college city it only makes sense that it would take all kinds. but i wonder if the people running the college are okay with their students being in such a liberal environment. typically the people running it are always a bit more into their jobs than the people attending or teaching. :0

Indeed.

So, It snowed here this morning. It didn't stick for long; in fact, you look outside now and you can't tell there was snow just a few hours ago. Still, was neat -w-
(Also, my mom was freaking out and proclaiming I can't go to work because of the snow. Less than an inch, and it melted before even dad had to go into work. Lulz)

Chocofreak13

you can always tell her the snow is taller than my car. :0

B+ here. :)

I really wish my eyelid would stop randomly twitching.

@Bella: Drink more water, or try cleaning around your eye in case something got in it?
Also, I think my blood type is A? IDK :\

So, trying to avoid the house today; mom was trying to draft me into helping around the house, when I just want to enjoy my day off work >_>;
(Plus, tomorrow it gets more complex; the parents need the van to get a new oven, so I'm stranded there and will most likely be drafted into helping put the new oven in, when I have work that afternoon and hate being drafted into doing something like that)

Chocofreak13

@bells: could also be a potassium or sleep issue, or you may need glasses/new prescription.

also, i'm O-.

i may have stayed at Steve's for almost a week but now that i'm not there i miss it. it's cold here and despite having TV i'm kind of miserable. that's due in part to a crappy day but also due to missing Steve and being passive-aggressively guilt tripped about my job situation. i want toast but my mum is out of the house and my dad is in the kitchen and i just really don't feel like getting up. >>;

I intended to go to that recycling place today, but mom refused to let me leave (And the shitty layout of the house makes it impossible for me to attempt to sneak past her to load everything up), so now I'm hiding out at grandma's office so she can't rope me into housework >_>;

Cockleshell

confirmed, if i'm ever in dire need of blood due to period issues or otherwise i will steal Kari's blood
