so last night i was texting with Steve, and the conversation turned to us getting an apartment again. it's getting to the point where the two of us are starting to suffer negative effects from the lack of proximity, and i think both of us could benefit from being out of our houses (he so that his family will stop taking advantage of him, and me so i can rid myself of the yelling and stress). after he was done with his lunch break, i was feeling a touch guilty about not finding another job yet, so i started browsing for craft stores in the local area. when that basically came up empty, i decided to try the joann's site, despite having checked it just the other day and having nothing. lo and behold, there was a listing for one a bit further away, posted just yesterday. applied, done, totally feeling like a "responsible adult". #i'magrownup

(also, sorry if chatting about this grinds anyone's gears, but we have a tendency to chat about stuff like that without even thinking of anyone else anyway. isn't that right, my college-attending friends. >>; )

I wish I didn't have to go into work today; I barely slept last night, plus I have a headache :\

EDIT: Why can't I get any decent rest? I just feel like I'm lying in bed for hours, doing absolutely nothing instead of sleeping, so I can get over whatever this is >_<

we didn't make it home until 3:45.

we had intended to leave from there at 10.

Katja got stuck in my brother's driveway, so he had to call AAA and we got her hauled into the right direction. we then had to push her down the driveway and the street. Steve took over driving, thankfully, but the poor thing was so tired he was starting to hallucinate. (as was i, actually.) despite everything we managed to get back safely (we dropped everyone off safely, too) and then crashed. but goddamn was that a special level of hell.
