What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two figures of your favorite Touhou characters. Look again, the figures are now vials of the Hourai Elixir. Anything is possible when your waifu smells like Old World and not a man. I'm a frog.

Eww bees

Sadly the cafeteria is fucking crowded and the best internet is where the bees are.

The bus is crowded. ㅠ.ㅠ

@bells: i passed with a 19/24.

anime yard sale yesterday was pretty freakin' sweet (see MPT for pics). went to my sis's after, seems Steve got there early (see Relationships for details). saw Mel (as she had planned to meet me at the sale, but i neglected to tell her i'd be leaving by 2, so sadly she missed it, but came up to Derry instead), got a computer from her (iMac G5, given to Claire), chatted with her awhile, said she'd give me some peaches tomorrow (so, today). had an.....interesting session at D&D yesterday. Steve's character (the Bard) was brutally killed (we saved all we could of him, which was a couple chunks of flesh and his glasses, gonna get him resurrected....someday), we killed a baby (turns out it was just sludge around a set of demonic bones), and exorcised a demon out of a nymph of a local forest. was exahusted by the end (both in and out of game), managed to slog myself home and get up in the morning.

grandpa left for Canada today. sitting alone at the house with the peaches. these are NOT eating peaches, these are cooking peaches. (first it tasted chemically....then i noticed the inside on the other side of where i was eating was covered in brown and crumbly and i gagged and tossed the rest. ><;;; )

@Bella: Finally took that test. I managed to pass it with a 20\24 -w-

Chocofreak13

tbh i probably would have gotten 20 as well, i just second-guessed myself on one question and picked south africa rather than india because it was still under british jurisdiction in the 60's.

@Stew:
YOU KNOW THE DRILL

@Pent and Kari: LET US ALL MOVE TO THE UK!

@Genpop: After suggesting we take a trip to the MIT Museum, I've become the de-facto Women in Technology Club field trip coordinator........

I have to call the museum and find out if they offer group or educational discounts. I also have to figure out how much bus + MBTA fare will run us, look into eating establishments in the area, etc.

Other club activities in planning:
—Game Night at the Auditorium: multiplayer and one-on-one video games (including retrogames), board games, possibly traditional RPGs as well. We'd like to have catering (the culinary arts department isn't far away), possibly raffles and whatnot as well. Paid event, something like $10 a person.

—Outreach to middle school and high school girls on careers in science and technology.

—National Center for Women & Information Technology activities, including maybe going to the national conference in the spring next year if we can raise the money (it's being held in South Carolina, sooooooooo.....)

—Other field trips

It's mostly up in the air at this point but we already have 7 members on board (5 women and 2 guys), we're hoping to recruit more though. :>

Also in class today we argued about New England cuisine. And Doctor Who.

We also found out that one of our classmates' friends is building a replica of the TARDIS..........

That in itself feels pretty New Englandy.  Is it made of abandoned fishing boat lumber and lobstahs?

Nichi

@Bella: Your class sounds amazing *w*
(Also, I intend to check out the MIT Museum during my return trip -w-)

My dad thought the NHS informational meeting was today.

It wasn't. It was next week.

I seriously needed to print some schoolwork, and the meeting probably would have overlapped with the time I had to print the work.

I felt extreme amounts of relief.

so i'm irrevocably sick holy shit fuck college

@cocks: drink oj, tea, and campbell's chicken noodle. also honey, GORGE YOURSELF ON BEE SPIT
also, congrats on the powerpoint. you start becoming a wizard of both BS and procrastination when you hit college. -w-

@bells: that.....that is kickass. and if i recall there was some kind of famous cafe right next to the damn school that nej wanted to visit, but it was closed. so we went to the Miracle of Science pub instead. there are also likely a couple dozen boba tea joints nearby and a lovely korean market, if anyone's into that sort of thing.
