yesterday and today were quite interesting, though i am feeling quite blargh. to sum things up briefly:

thursday: did chores, went over grandpa's early. vacumned and sewed dress and bun cover. picked up mum, put on dress. halfway down decided that dress/heels wasn't a good idea, changed back to boy detective in moving car. spent day in boston wandering around harvard square, then chinatown, then newbury street. walked insane amount to save money. didn't find item i was looking for, shopped more than i meant to anyway. had meat skewers from food truck (cheap and delicious). came home late and exhausted, crashed. discovered that boston is truly my home as i can now ride subway without holding onto anything, despite last riding the subway around a year ago.

friday: got up early....? had breakfast, left house MUCH later than intended. ran errands in salem quickly, rushed up to pick up claire for dental appointment in nashua. spent close to 3 hours lingering in waiting room of dental clinic while claire had full-mouth x-rays done (last time claire saw a dentist or doctor: 10+ years ago, in ohio, and mostly dental students at that, leading to shitty-ass work). walked around neighborhood, bought snacks, left soon after that. played insane amount of hanafuda. went to salvation army, found cute clothes we ended up buying after being lectured/yelled at by mum about using them to get a job (ignoring the fact that i've told her, several times, that i need the damn wig first). went to pizza place we pass by every time we go to  town; had little slice of nostalgia in that it was the WORST pizza i've ever eaten (as in, plastic chain-restaurant pizza is better). got frappe from mcdonalds', delicious but sickening after the pizza. dropped off claire and went to walmart (waited in car). went home, contemplated sleeping.

All that happened of note here was finding a copy of Windows XP Home Edition for $2 at a garage sale. Bought it because I'm a sucker for in-box OSes
And I kinda want to mail it to Kari for her to take pics of her holding it while in Homeko cosplay >w>;
