What everybody else said. I like the collection ^_^

Chocofreak13

there's always the internet. ^^ that's where most of my plushies have come from.

guys, does having enough manga in your collection to host a con's manga library count here?

guess what they're doing!

Hey choco, any tips for sewing small peices of fabric on a sewing machine?  I was thinking of pinning it to a larger peice of tissue paper that i could tear away after im done, otherwise it jams the fabric into the feedplate on my sewing machine.

that sounds like a good idea. though you'll have to be careful that the paper isn't sucked into the feedplate as well. when i had trouble with smaller things, i'd just hold it really tightly so it wouldn't move. considering the needle only goes up and down, you can avoid it pretty easy. having the foot down firmly also helps.

also, since i never had any problems with fabric getting caught in the machine (thread yes, fabric no), are you sure that the plate is in securely? or the right way? i think i put mine in backwards once and it was annoying as hell. >>;

if you have any more problems, it might be better just to hand sew it. :\ if you're careful and precise, it'll be just like machine stitching. (i use a loopstitch for extra security, but idk what works for you.)

well i havent tried to do it on my newest sewing machine, my old one had a pretty decent gap between the teeth and the plate and it would push fabric into it. my nice 900 dollar embroidery machine might not have that problem.

holy shit, you spent $900 on an embroidery machine? *____*;;;;

that said, if it has less of a gap, i'd try it there. maybe it'll help. :\

well yeah ... thats a cheap one. I want this nice 8000 dollar model ive been looking at.  I also spent 700 on a program that lets me create embroidery patterns so I can make patches and such as a side buisness.

xD mine was a buisness expense and i wrote it off as such, I can also write off my second room as a home office.  If the BF moves in it will also be our art studio

ahh. my mum received mine as a christmas gift in about 85' or 86', after she told my dad multiple times that she DID NOT WANT A SEWING MACHINE. :\
so when i started sewing class at the high school, she let me have it.

that said, have you tried sewing it yet?

Alright, ive ordered some new toys/figures/dolls lately.

First.. I ordered all 5 magical girls from madoka as figmas. 3 of them are on pre order, but madoka and homura have already arrived 8D

Second.. I got this CRAZY doll/action figure for crazy nestolgia.

CRAZY detailed for something thats 12 inches tall. I carried every peice of gear in there, it breaks back soo many memories.

However, when i was looking at it, something didnt seem right to me..  It seemed familure in more then just the fact it had all my marine gear... then it occured to me. He is modeled to look like SSgt Naats from Battle LA.

Think im crazy?  Look at this one...

Looks like another well detailed doll of a US navy corpsman.. but look closer.

strange how much the medical guy looks like... dun dun dun..

Kinda wonder how they get by with using celeberty likenesses without any royalties...

Somehow Dr House just became infinitly more awesome.  He will drop into a combat zone and tell you its not lupis.

EDIT: I just noticed.. even Dr. House knows to keep his finger straight and off the trigger until he is ready to fire.

military house is even more badass, since he refuses to complain about his leg, instead deciding to be a martyr. xDD

that said, both look awesome. ^^ though i imagine that  carrying all that stuff must have been heavy. :\

also, looking forward to the madoka figures. they sound cool. :3

(on a thread-related note, i was gonna keep this hidden till they were done, but i'm making some anime figurines of my characters. expect pics once they're done. >w< )
