Title: Japanese (riichi) mahjong?

I don't suppose there's anyone else on the forum who plays Japanese (also known as riichi) mahjong? While I'm a noob, I'd like to be able to have a consistent set of friends to play with instead of throwing myself to the proverbial wolves on Majsoul, Tenhou, etc. regularly.

My answer has changed since I gave it; I'd now recommend Mahjong Soul, which also has a good tutorial and anime waifu/husbando gacha.

Since then, I've also finally gotten a proper rīchi mahjong set! \o/
