what pent said. usually it boils down to private = uniform, public = not, but there may be exceptions to the rule.

welp, spent the better part of the day helping my friends Mel and Finch clean Finch's father's house; he died last year and Finch didn't know until after his father died that his father was a hoarder. the majority of the house is clean, but we tumbled two couches down the stairs and outside to a supersized-dumpster in torrential rain. as a result we were all soaked through for most of the day. got a little cleaning done before Finch's real estate agent called to inform him that--surprise!--there's a lean on the house (equity loan) that needs to be dealt with before the house can be closed. so we left early to go deal with that (and go to the dump), meaning i got home in time for dinner and Steven Universe. only things left are to shower for work tomorrow and text Steve on his lunch. i told Finch and Mel that i'm willing to help them as much as they need if we can coordinate a time.
Finch let me have some stuff from the house:

Toaster
Gnome Doll (for Mum)
Bronze Pharaoh Ashtray (for Claire)
Partial Bottle of Dawn (for the Apartment)
Knife Block
Architect's Ruler
Harry Potter Translucent Plastic Square
Bottle of Stetson Cologne (for Steve)

i was also going to take some Silverware and a Dish, but i forgot them, so i'm going to go back for them.

So many funny things happen in math class but it's all essentially "you'd have to have been there" type humor so I can't express it...

i went in a full 4 hours early for my shift. it was a total accident, i felt extremely dumb, but they let it slide and no one can ever say i'm late.

also i learned most of register AND part of cutting counter today so WHOO ACCOMPLISHMENT

i need to pick up the pace with cutting counter, though....
