Red-Machine

Not me, I can't stand the bastard.
Red_Machine: Flouting the Windows Lifecycle Policy since 1989!

NejinOniwa

Well, hell's bells ringing all over me, ain't you a brit, Red? I'll have it said I was back in the day as well, with all what that was... Then again, that fellow is as insane as a freefalling oak, so it's a natural thing. -w-
At the very least, the entire cast is positively gay for the entire cast, so yeah.

Quote from: "NejinOniwa"To all you self-conscious /osc/-ers out there, I have one piece of advice, damn all the heavens if it's not a good one.

Step 1: Do a quick warmup by browsing through the Danbooru Badass pool, while listening to some good, motivating music.

haha... the music I tend to play when I need that sort of gung-ho motivation, I listen to music from the Ace Combat series. from 2, 4, 5, and Zero.  they all sort of fit the bill with electric guitars, horns, and orchestral epicness.

Samples:

AC5, "Supercircus"

AC5: "Closure"

Some orchestral choirs, and a spanish guitar~ haha

ACZ: "Zero"

There's a hell of a lot more, but I'll hold off my inner Ace Combat fanboy. heh
Oh, some touhou arranges, maybe?

hm... kinda difficult to find the same exact mood.

uhh...
well, I'll give it a shot:

EastNewSound - Black Butterfly

And the ever popular:

YU-MU - 岸ç"°æ•™å›£

aha, I think I'm finding stuff now.

Two songs here:

papos -  é–‰é›²äº¬ and  é"界地方遊戯ã,½ãƒªãƒ†ã,§ã,¢
This stuff feels a lot like the ace combat stuff earlier.

And can't forget Okuu.

C-Clays - Emergency

And uh... unrelated to touhou, but epic looping, I guess. haha

That Zero tune is really fancy, huh.

Too bad none of the games are for PC though ;w; I'll just pull them through emulator. >:3

Bella

TY for the support guys. Honestly, I've never felt unappreciated... I think a lot of people (especially among my family) appreciate me but I can't help but feel rather useless myself. My scatterbrainedness probably comes into play here... I think that I could do just about anything I put my mind to, but I seem to have a problem putting my mind to stuff. Dx

Ditto on the joblessness/college undecidedness/semi-car-less-ness thing Choco. >< Well, I sorta have a part-time job (it's my boss who's semi-unemployed), know which college I'd want to go to (but will probably defer a year), and kinda have access to a car whenever I want, but I'm terrified of driving. Hah.

I'm weird about crying. Or actually showing any emotions, I try my best not to under all circumstances. ><;

So, anyway... I'm camping now. "Camping" as in being parked in a field in a huge motorhome next to a pool... no TV here, but there's wifi. Yay.

The pool was green with chlorine this morning, but there are people in it now... might go give it a try.  D:

The not having TV thing it making my companions punchy, though, today my accent got lol'd at. Honest to god, point and laughed at. I was so insulted, I nearly cried. ;.;

EDIT: Oh wait, I've been forbade from entering the pool on account of my MCS (multiple chemical sensitivities). So I'll just sit here and wish I was swimming or whatever.

EDIT 2: Oh yeah, and some idiot thinks the cure for the common cold is whining very loudly and incessantly about how terrible he feels. I keep reminding him that if I whined every time I didn't feel well I'd be keeping a running dialogue of complaints... ><

I'm gonna engrave this into a damn runestone.

hehe, I guess that works. I hope you have a joystick of some sort... Unless you're somehow really good at flying planes on keyboards.

in ACZ, the enemies you face eventually call you the "Demon Lord" :3

I love the music in the Ace Combat series. It makes you feel like you're going to battle.

Also, more Touhou arranges:

MyonMyon - Shadow Shooter

é»'夜è'¬ - 思å...¼æƒ³æ"

nazz-can - ç·'眼のã,¸ã,§ãƒ©ã,·ãƒ¼

Ah... the focus problem.  I can say I've had it in my endeavors as an amateur artist.  And certainly in my education.  But, focus comes and goes. (And seems to get worse if you TRY to focus on something rather than just naturally going along with the random focus moments, but that's just me)

Ah... well, I complain about my little troubles to my close friends.  I try not to annoy them about it (and if I do, I'd very much oblige their request to stop), but it is a cathartic release. It really does help to have someone listen, whether they really care or not.

My deep emotions are shown to a select few, and I feel it's better than bottling it up all the time.

NejinOniwa

Personally my emotions are constantly banging between various extremes of smugness, angst, rage and general distaste for everything. Were I to show this, things would not be quite well. Thus, the demon overlord...refrains.
*ba-dum-tisch*

Oh, and on the "focus problem":
As a writer, I face this quite a lot - the dreaded writer's block is the final form of this fearsome enemy. What easens up the process in the case of literal focus break is one thing (although there may be many others for other people): Planning, planning, and SHITWADDLEDEEFUCKLOADS of planning. I may have mentioned the newly finished (pre-edit) 10-part series I'm working on: Whenever an idea was had for a scenario, I jotted it down somewhere in the library of .txt files I have stored around the chapters. Drawing maps (you've heard that before, haven't you) of stuff, making relationship charts (ACK!), even such a seemingly trivial thing as deciding on names for sub-characters and general people you won't be using until way ahead is a great idea; All of these things give you background KNOWLEDGE about the work you're doing, and that is vital.

I'm not as experienced in art and stuff as writing, but generally it's the same - background knowledge about the theme, subject or, say, the guy you're doing a portrait of, comes a lot in handy since it allows you to expand your borders without making mistakes. The same goes for science and stuff too - if you have wider general knowledge about, say, physics, and not just the specific stuff about the exact matter you're trying to solve, you'll be able to much easier figure things out since you have the means to work around things, and most importantly, the LOGIC. The think. The setting. The genre. You know the deal, you know the business you're dealing in. Background knowledge wins the day, every time.

TL;DR - knowledge is power, which I'm sure you already knew, so take that seriously, guys. -w-;

What I wanted to say was that when you don't have the focus, get more knowledge about the matter you're working on. This will ease the return of the focus, and increase its magnitude.

I'm just ranting incoherently, aren't I. ;w;
