so guys, i'm wondering what i should do tomorrow. initially we were going to go to Ben's out in Rindge, but now my sister and the gang aren't going, which means the game we were having is off. i'm low on gas, so i don't really want to go out there if i don't have to, but i promised i'd take ben grocery shopping, so i feel kinda bad.
his girlfriend is supposed to be coming on monday, so i might ask if he doesn't mind me skipping, buuut......

@pent: the Thing i am Doing today is going over my list of Animoo (both potential and solid) to start selecting candidates to show to the childrens at the library. the potluck is at the end of the month and i need time to sort through and get trailers. the process goes like this:

step 1. weed out porn from list.
step 2. weed out ecchi from list (porn disguising itself as a normal show, such as Kanokon or High School DxD).
step 3. preview first episode/trailers of potentials to weed out more "questionable" series (the youngest kids at these things are around 12 or 13, so i need to cater to them, not high school kids).
step 4. narrow things down further by eliminating insanely long (over 24 ep) series. (i typically weed out some of the 24 ep-ers, too, just because it's not a daily thing, and making matters worse, it's not weekly like the HS anime club was, it's bi-weekly)
step 5. polish off final candidates by looking for unknown series and series that the subject matter will appeal to the kids.
step 6. gather trailers.

last time i did this i was weeding through some 92-odd series or so, and now i'm going to be dealing with somewhere in the ballpark of 300. maybe more. so this is gonna take awhile.


also up on the agenda today: updating backups and fixing a few files, as my new drive has come in, and we shall be fixing Loly and reinstalling 7 on the morrow.
