I don't see religion-like patriotism around here, thankfully

Anyway, this topic sucks and is now about trains. Discuss
I always wanted to say that...

BAN EVERYTHING

Also, Beach trippan tomorrow, MIT on thursday. Takers welcome. Dis week is nice. -w-

I would try to come with, but, alas, no car, no money, no way to get there. I mean, I literally have $200 to my name. This is the money that's coming with my on my trip to DC, and has to hold me over for like, six days. Dinners and lodging aren't an issue since I have friends and family who are going to be providing those, but I do still have to pay for other meals and transportation around the city and what not.

Not to mention the family being away, which complicates things somewhat. -w-;

Solipsism.

Discuss.

What's to discus? It's my way of thinking, actually... well, I try not to think about it too much, because when I do I tend to get a bit freaked out, and feel like reality will fall away from me at any moment, and then have to sit in a dark room for a few minutes while my mind resets.

It's actually quite unsettling... >>;;

Things would be easier to accomplish if you didn't insta-give up on them, just so you know...and as it stands you are starting to become quite elusive to contact. It annoys me, frankly. -_-
Please ratify this problem. If anything else, I have things to discuss that need a coordinator.

Trains!  Dude, I have so much to say about all sorts of American railroading trivia but no one ever wants to listen....

OUR TRAINS ARE BETTER. -3-
YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS

Dr. Kraus

Best trains in the world are most defiantly not within the United States but within Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, England, Austria, Japan, South Korea, and even China!

I wish the US would put some planning and work into a high speed rail system, it really would be better than planes...
They are making a tunnel for our Tram system here in Pittsburgh that will go under the Allegheny River and into the North Shore where the new Casino, Football, and Baseball parks are. The only problem is that many people are getting laid off due to the costs and the T fares are much higher ($2.25 for 1 zone and $4.25 for 2 zones) the fares used to be $1.25!

If you are confused about the whole "Zone" thing then just look at this map:
http://www.portauthority.org/paac/apps/maps/TLines.pdf

I take the Dormont station most of the time due to living so close to it (5 min away) but I usually am going to the South Hills Village station thus I have to pay more (I can usually just say I'm getting of at Washington Junction and be all stealth like though). Lucky enough for me that my friends live near the stops and my one friend whom I hang out a lot with lives right next to the St. Anne stop so its really convenient for me.

Alright, mature people: just for the future record, trolling / flaming others' devotions is not of proper conduct. Unfortunately, it's not even fun to read, so that excuse is invalid as well.

Making generalisations, whether it's about (including but not limited to) a nation, religion, website or sports community, is not funny either. Reconsider making them here.

On the subject of trains, I don't know much about them but on another website I go to there's an American guy who knows absolutely everything about them. He's a true master of railways when it comes to interest and modelling. ^^ In Finland the problem with the fastest trains was that they'd been bought from Italy and therefore weren't at all suitable for Finnish weather conditions, so that every winter the Pendolinos ended up either being delayed or cancelled altogether.

No.  No.  We are not making trains into yet another debate about who is better.  I forbid it!  Talking about transit issues, fine, yes, a positive dialogue about what change you want to see in rapid transit is fine.  Same goes for national railroads; discuss but no chest thumping.  Argue whose is better or I get out the SADM.

That sort of reminds me of the old Amtrak Turbotrains they brought from France; fast and cool as hell but not really designed so much for the track conditions of American passenger service except along the very Eastern Seaboard.  Performed well for VIA for years though, and even ran through my town a few times for experimental reasons.

I haven't seen her on Skype in a few days, either. I figure that's because she's secretly training to become a ninja

Red-Machine

That, and Lion looks like a desktop version of the iPad.
