So, tinkering with Virtualbox (Adding some new ones, dropping ones I was having problems with), here's what's currently setup on 2k-tan the Desktop:

- Windows 2000 SP4 (Lovingly dubbed "2k-on-2k Mode")
- Windows NT 4.0 SP5 (Will be SP6a soon)
- Windows XP Professional SP2 (Will be SP3 soon)
- Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 (Soon, at least)
- Fedora 16 w\ XFCE

Fedora 16 on Fedora-Tan's laptop. It must be the gin, but it feels like this should be in Hentai forum.

edit: with xfce, naturally.

L to R: TSS-8 on a PDP-8, DOS-15 on a PDP-15, and DECSYS on a PDP-7

I just downloaded a shitload of PDP-8 manuals; gonna tackle TSS-8 and CAPS-8 first.

Nope, Fallout: Equestria meeting of protagonists.

But Fallout, and by extension FoE, is far more Tapepunk then it is steampunk.

That being said, I can now also boot CAPS-8 successfully on my PDP.  May be getting WinEight to pull more fancy tricks with a custom setup, once I read through these manuals better.

Chocofreak13

is that another vintage system or are you refering to the future windows 8?

Never though I'd need to break out the super-big font and bold text before

Ergh, I missed that. >>;;

Computer historian is still displeased by your lack of googling (and assumption that anyone would get Windows 8 to do anything, since it sucks harder than a supermassive black hole)... WinEight is a PDP-8 emulator for Windows.

Nichi

Well, it doesn't help when you have two things of similar name. WinEight and the lazily named Windows 8*, OS-9 and Mac OS 9...

*Which would more accurately be named Windows 7, as it is NT 7.0, while the actual Windows 7 is NT 6.1

@pentium: thankyou for reading stew's whole statement before commenting on my post. ^^

Jesus Christ you guys, I can't sleep for four hours without having to deploy this.

Yes, it's another PDP-8 emulator with a more accurate operation scheme and greater customization.  Training for someday building my own PDP-8 like this guy did.
