There is a section on 98-tan's Wiki page that reads;
QuoteSome depictions of 98-tan show her to be a futanari (hermaphrodite). This is problematic as the character is depicted as underage, and sexual depictions or discussion about the genitals of minors is bad. Some non-pornographic OS-tan comics have even used this trope by questioning characters, such as Homeo's, sexuality for having feelings for 98-tan.

This section is meant to inform and provide context for these depictions while acknowledging their problematic nature.
Why is this necessary? I understand (even if disagreeing with) the author's opinion but this passage applies modern-day progressive Western moral standards to a work fundamentallyc onstructed outside of that framework on a Japanese imageboard in the early-to-mid 2000s. Even bypassing the moral mismatch at hand here editorializing in this way is quite uncalled for. It's a bit insensitive

Goujer (she/her)

The mods and I have discussed this, and we think that the section should be removed. It is not important to her as a character and there are extremely few examples mentioning it in a non-sexual manner. Other characters are often also depicted the same way and artists have and will continue to mishmash anything they want on a character.
We don't need to specify the genitals of characters.
