It's better than the 56K I had when I joined this site, but it's still not that great. Sadly, this is the fastest speed available in my area short of cable internet

@pentium: what, do you have dial up or something? :\

Woo, I'm only the second-slowest. x)

Haha, I don't know why I have such low pings
It's a wireless connection using Motorola Canopy equipment to an access point on a tower quite a ways away

I ping roughly 25 in Quakeworld on the TX server, while everyone else gets 60+
But my packet loss is always around 1-3% on anything

No; I have (really crappy) DSL. It's faster than my old dial-up connection, at least, but it's still too slow when you try to watch videos (Anything streaming, like Netflix, is a test of patience), and unfortunately, it's the fastest speed offered in my area short of cable internet. I'm pretty sure my internet connection really hates me and my 2k-tan for buying and downloading Portal 2 on Steam

Chocofreak13

@pentium: yeah, portal might be better for a newer os. :3
@svx: as they say in missouri, i ain't goin' back to missouri!
@pitkin: i wonder how you people download. hopefully things will be better when you get to france. :\

Downloading is pure epicness. :/ As a rule of thumb I don't download, except if I REALLY want something, and it's usually when I'm not myself at the computer. ._. Fedora-Tan's connection is way faster though. ^.^

Actually, I was referring to my desktop that's named after 2k (Which runs both 7 and 2000, with the latter being in Virtualbox).
