the upload speed jumped to 5.something for a bit.

the download's peak was 10, and the upload's 9! i gotta remember to do stuff at my school more often. o___o;

Connection is shittier than normal, with my parents playing Farmville or whatever

99% of the users of this site have connections in excess of 10Mbps+
I am the 1%

Jesus Christ, Nej, I'd kill for a connection half that fast. @__@;;

Not that I'm complaining about my own...

Chocofreak13

apparently my car has satellite internet, but the heck if I know where it is.

Chocofreak13

nice. though i'm willing to bet that 95% of vehicles (not counting trains/planes/etc) don't have internet. :3

doublepostlolwut:

this is what public wifi on a coach bus (a nice one) looks like:

i think one of the reasons it's so wonky (besides the fact that it's public and that multiple people are using it) is that it's roving wifi. since it's moving instead of a landline, i think that would affect the speed. :\

It's like my connection, but with the upload and download inverted!

Chocofreak13

so you're using satellite internet too? cause i'm pretty sure that's how the bus works. :\

Nope; DSL.

In our area, the only provider for satellite internet is like $150+ a month for speeds equal to our $15 a month DSL connection. Which, they now offer faster speeds in our area...but I doubt I'd be able to talk mom into paying the extra $10 a month for a connection twice as fast, even if it means Netflix would load faster :/
