If anyone here works in IT, I'm sure you're familiar with the Steve rule.

i'm not particularly fond of macs recently......see, the college i'm not going to is ENTIRELY mac-based. while i have no problem with mac as a product or a line, i AM upset that they are attempting to take away my freedom of choice.

i was talking to my friend the other day and she says the college's she in REQUIRES their students to get macs as laptops, due to the programs being used.

i'm a windows user; the only time i ever pictured myself using a mac was as a "pet" computer (if i'm switching to ANYTHING it's gonna be linux). i'm gonna be getting a windows for college, and they'll just have to deal. xD

(sorry i went OT. ;___; )

A new Toshiba Satellite Laptop is basically on the same ground as the next iWhatever. Same ground as the next best mp3 player.

Technology, as it gets smaller and smaller, is found to be easier and easier to encroach itself into our daily lives, and while I marvel and deeply love the innovative spirit behind technology, there must be a time for everyone during the day to say "I want to do something else...", "I want to go outside...", "I want to learn how to do something or create something..."

Miyazaki's comments are sad but true in analogous form... people I've known in the past would rather play video games all day or masturbate to their Terabyte Library of Hentai/Porn than go out and actually meet women. I was once one of these people... but it grew out of me, with age and a few good kicks to the backside.

"It is because it is so convenient to download a good tentacle hentai... than to test your mettle and learn to love a real woman." I have once told them... and the story of Onan is a great parallel to this... because as God punished Onan for his "sin", Life itself will punish you for not taking risks and getting experiences out of seeing the real world that you will regret 'till your deathbed.

That is so ghey. Windows/Ubuntu Linux are my favourite OSes...
Most likely I will try getting a Netbook for the sole purpose of learning Ubuntu entirely... a dual boot on this laptop is unfortunately a very "iffy" practice.
