It was huge!  And kids were playing with it as well I think.

Bella

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. <3

@Aurora: The four of us didn't manage it..... I hung out with Stew during my trip to Washington DC (since he's staying not to far away from the city); and Nej and K ambushed me at the train station in Boston.

@Nej and Stew: It's all in your head, the two of you photograph quite nicely imo. >w>

@Remilia: It would be a lot scarier if it was running. O_O

I'm still organizing pics to post here...... i have so many. o____o

Chocofreak13

i need to charge my camera and stop being lazy....

although, it'd be more motivation if i could get that external drive. :\

Pitkin

Forgot to post pics of the mountain walk, and right now the camera's in the room where Fedora-Tan's already asleep, so  I don't dare going to take it. Some pictures that I uploaded already right after the walk:

http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Pitkin/IMG_1324.jpg - pic taken at Fedora-Tan's parents' place just before leaving

http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Pitkin/IMG_1364.jpg - me at Lake Achard in about 1900 metres, lots of people there

http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Pitkin/IMG_1353.jpg - one of the two frogs encountered aroute to the lake <3

http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa466/Pitkin/IMG_1371.jpg - a butterfly who wanted to be friends <3

... it might look like I only took pictures of animals while Fedora-Tan only took pictures of me. However, there were also nice views and pics of him, but the former ones I didn't upload yet and the latter ones I keep for myself. xP

Chocofreak13

looks cute pitkin! i'm a bit jealous, that lake looks so nice. *__* and the animals are so cute--the butterfly reminds me of one i found in the yard in june, that wouldn't leave my hand after i saved the poor thing from the cat. ;^;

Remilia

The lake is awesome (especially if "lots of people there" means "there was no one there aside from us"). :p

And the frog and the butterfly are cute. :)

Paul

So many pics to comment on *.*

@Bells: You and Stew are one of the cutest couples I've ever seen. The way you're looking at each other is simply GORGEOUS!!! <3

@Nej: I don't think you look moronic in the least :D

@Kari: This not-wanting-to-be-photographed pic is adorable ^^

@Pitkin: you're looking really happy in those pics :3

Chocofreak13

@paul: lol, you thought that was cute? xD i look like i'm rabid. xD

Bella

@Pitkin: You look ready for ADVENTURE~ there, and that lake looks lovely. ^^ A bit sad we won't be seeing any pics of you and Fedora-Tan, but I can't fault him for wanting to keep his identity secret. ^^;;

Oh look, i'm finally getting around to posting some photos...

-Saturday, July 23-
This was the day I caught the Northeast Regional train from Boston to Washington DC. The train ride was nice and had some very pretty portions but I really didn't feel like clicking off a lot of pictures. ^^;

-Sunday, July 24-
On Sunday I wandered Washington DC. I walked from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capital Building, and checked out a couple museums/parks along the way. It was very hot that day - well over 100 degrees - meaning I had to drink lots of water, rest often, and use an umbrella to shade myself from the sun when I could. In spite of the conditions I never felt overwhelmed by the heat, maybe I was having too much fun to notice it.

The Capital from across the reflection pond.

At this point, I was very hot, my feet were murdering me, and I wasn't sure where to go. I could either back-track and go to the Smithsonian Metro stop, or another, closer station, L'Enfant Plaza. I decided to go for the latter. And I got rather lost in the process. But I was able to find my way to the stop eventually and find the right train home (with the help of locals). My feet were in very bad shape at this point, but I was luckily spared any severe sunburning.

-Monday, July 25-
On Monday, Stewart and I met on a subway platform in Bethesda (more romantic than it sounds! The DC Metro has beautiful platforms! ^^) and we took the train into the city. We got to DC by about 9am - the museums weren't opening for another hour, so we decided to hide out from the heat in the only nearby place that was opened to the public - the USDA visitor's center. At which point we were nearly recruited into jobs in the agriculture industry (lolz).

From there we walked over to the Air and Space Museum, which was probably one of the museums I wanted to see the most.

Chocofreak13

it all looks pretty cool, bells! makes me want to visit the air and space museum eventually. ^^ plus, the guidance computer makes me wonder if we've -tanned it yet, which then makes me wonder what the reaction of the people of the 60's would be upon learning that a computer can be cute. ("look at this vocaloid!" "what's a vocaloid...?" "a singing computer." "WHAAAAAAAAAAT.")
other than that, that board game looks epic! and stew really DOES have epic sideburns! *__*;

and that first picture of the missiles made me lol so hard that i need to do something with it. look for it in RPT. >w<;;
