Aurora Borealis

Hey, everybody! :) I thought it'd be a good idea to revive the OS-tan expanded universe originally proposed here at OSC, as a way to keep track of the many OS-tans and introduce them to newcomers all in the same place, to discuss OS-tan conjectures, backstories, and help type up character bios. I could really use some help with that!

The original thread closed down about 2.5 years ago, but the project still lives on, and still highly influential to OSC fanon.

From the OSC Wiki:

The OS-tan Annex Project was started on September 16, 2006 by former OS-tan Collections member C-Chan to create a OS-tan 'universe' to include new OS-tan characters and backstories. The Annex Project is by no means official but strives to integrate the new OS-tan characters and backstories with those of other OS-tan artists while still staying faithful to the original OS-tan canon and the work of other artists.

In the Annex Project, OS-tans are grouped into factions not to force political separations on them but rather to better organize them and the storytelling elements and that it would be much easier to remember an obscure OS-tan if she has a group representing her.

I hope I can restart this with the same enthusiasm and flair C-Chan had when he originally started this project! With this first post, I'm going to keep it simple, just listing the characters and a basic placeholder description for each faction. Later posts should get more interesting, and fancier! **First up, let's get the 'unsorted/undecided' characters placed into factions (or in the wanderer class if that's the case)**

There are 9 current factions plus a category for deceased OS-tans, and Wanderer Class for unaligned OS-tans making for a total of 11 categories, and some characters that have yet to be sorted:

The Windows Family
{The canon Windows-tans live as the wealthiest OS-tan faction. They live in prosperity and a sheltered life, but a lot of secrets about the past before their rise to power are kept from them.}
    Name: MS DOS-tan
aka: Microsoft DOS, Microsoft Disk Operating System

      debut: circa 1981
      height: 125 cm [4'1"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: blue
      hair color: dark grey

      - Has shy, mousy and depressed disposition. Used to be cheerful, but the break-up of the MS-IBM Family, separation from her twin sister, and diminishing influence in the family have taken their toll.
      - Intelligent, but has trouble expressing herself clearly.
      - Twin sister of PC-DOS-tan; younger sister of QDOS-tan; biological daughter of DR-DOS-tan.
      - Keeps hair in pigtails.
      - Dons a light-blue grade school uniform with "MS-DOS" armband and glasses.
      - Carries around Microsoft keyboard everywhere she goes.
      - Official engineer of the Windows Family, though diminishing demand has turned her more into an unofficial house servant.
      - Generally found peeking around corners.
      - Known forum lurker.
      - Personality changes dramatically when reunited with PC-DOS-tan, as they become their former cheerful selves.
      - Occasionally sneaks out of the family house to visit the Vintage Federation, to play with the Vintage-tans and reunite with PC-DOS-tan.

    Windows 3.11
    Name: Windows 3.11-tan
aka: Windows 3.0, Windows 3.1, Windows 3.x, Wfw 3.11, Baba Loli

      debut: 22 May 1990
      height: 137 cm [4'6"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: red
      hair color: grey

      - Has quiet, serious and cheerless disposition, but used to be very cheerful in her childhood.
      - Always carries or is accompanied by DOSKitty
      - Keeps hair long and loose, tied only by a violet bow on her head.
      - Dons a violet frilly gown with a "3.1" brooch on her collar.
      - Keeps her smiles a rarity.
      - Is slightly aristocratic and prefers to be referred to as "3.11-sama"
      - Is somewhat distant with the newer Windows, preferring the company of MS-DOS, NT-tan, and 95-tan.
      - Has only a patchy memory of her youth and seems unable to recollect her older sister [Win 2.0] or mother [Win 1.0].
      - Windows 3.2-tan is her twin sister, but they were separated at birth.

    Windows 95
    Name: Windows 95-tan
    aka: Chicago, 95-neesan, Babaa, Hag-chan

      debut: 24 Aug 1995
      height: 157 cm [5'2"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: brown
      hair color: brown

      - Has gentle and mild-mannered disposition when in a good mood, becoming aggressive and violent when not.
      - Always carries a Katana with her and is still considered an excellent swordswoman.
      - Keeps hair long, tied with a ribbon bearing the Windows colors.
      - Dons a pink traditional kimono, hakama and geta, typical female college student apparel during the Japanese Meiji era.
      - Acts much older than she actually is, never having bothered to keep up with the times.
      - Has been trained from birth to be a great fighter, along with NT-tan.
      - Still has enough clout and force to keep the newer generation of Windows in line.
      - Led vanguard in Microsoft's dominance of the PC market, and is still able to summon her old battle suit.
      - Hates Macs with a vengeance, more so now that they are staging a strong recovery.
      - Is generally snide and arrogant with other alternative OS-tans, but knows enough not to pick a fight with everyone (e.g, the Linux distros).
      - Aside from Windows 3.11-tan and DOS, she will not comment on earlier Windows versions. She knows of 1.0-tan and 2.0-tan, has met them before their banishment, but refuses to speak of them, believing they were a disgrace and counterproductive to the Family's imperialist ambitions.

    Windows 98

    Name: Windows 98-tan
    aka: Hacchan, Memphis

      debut: 25 Jun 1998
      height: 145 cm [4'9"]
      weight: ??kg
      eye color: blue
      hair color: navy blue

      - Has shy and demure disposition.
      - Frequently travels with her blue-colored Mech-Box.
      - Keeps hair short, with a "98"-shaped hair clip attached to her left bang.
      - Dons a white and blue sleeveless school uniform, with gloves and a windows necktie.
      - Is a futanari.
      - Has a crush on Homeo.
      - Prefers to stick with (and "joust") with her sister, 98SE-tan.

    Windows 98SE

    Name: Windows 98 SE-tan
    aka: 98 Second Edition, Secchan

      debut: 5 May 1999
      height: 144 cm [~4'8.5"]
      weight: ??kg
      eye color: blue
      hair color: grey-blue

      - Shares shy and demure disposition as her sister 98-tan, but is often a little more brazen.
      - As with her sister 98-tan, she often travels with her green-colored Mech-Box.
      - Keeps hair short and topped only by a single pigtail on her left side.
      - Dons a white and green sailor school uniform, with the letters "SE" printed in the front.
      - Is not a futanari like her sister 98-tan, and in fact carries a bottle opener to brandish her disdain for such things.
      - Prefers to stick with (and "joust") with her sister, 98SE-tan.
      - Despite the small disparity in age, she's clearly the more innocent and naive of the two 98 sisters.

    Windows NT
    Name: Windows NT-tan
aka: Maman, Windows New Technology, OS/2 3.0

      debut: 27 Jul 1993
      height: 162 cm
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: blue
      hair color: lilac

      - Has sweet, quiet and maternal disposition, but used to be belligerent, when she led the Windows forces to conquer Unix and server OS territory.
      - Keeps hair in a short ponytail tied with a blue ribbon.
      - Dons a simple pink dress.
      - Can multitask, but is usually quite error-prone and unreliable compared to her daughters: NT Workstation, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, etc.
      - Was first Windows Family liason to the higher-end, non-x86 architecture hardware-tans. Serves as the family ambassador.
      - Helped establish her company's foothold in the server market, capitalizing on clever marketing and the weaknesses of a war-torn Unix Family.
      - Is largely unaware that she's a clone of VMS-tan and a true biological sister to OS/2-tan. She has even fought against them on multiple occasions.

    Windows NT Workstation (aka "Inu-T")

    Name: Windows NT Workstation
    aka: Inu-T, Windows NT 4.0

      debut: 29 Jul 1996
      height: 138 cm [~4'6"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: blue
      hair color: light blue

      - Has cheerful, carefree, canine disposition.
      - Has dog ears and a dog's tail, and also wears gloves and boots shaped like paws.
      - Keeps hair in a short but wild ponytail, tied with a large yellow ribbon.
      - Dons a simple blue dress, with a red dog's collar bearing the words NT.
      - Is fast and reliable performance-wise, but her dog intellect limits her ability to handle more complex tasks (such as playing human games).
      - Is considered a fine gourmand, second only to Windows XP-tan
      - Is very friendly with every Windows girl, but surprisingly close to Windows 95-tan and NT-tan.
      - Is not, however, universally-friendly with all OS-tans -- may either have a barking match with other canine OS-tans (particularly the Linux variety) or will chase after the feline OS-tans (such as the OSX girls).

    Windows CE

    Name: Windows CE-tan
aka: WinCE, Wince, Windows "Consumer Electronics", "Windows Compact Edition", Windows Mobile, Pocket PC

      debut: 1 Nov 1996
      height: 29 cm [~1'0"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: red
      hair color: orange

      - Has cheerful "magical girl" disposition, though becomes frightening and hysterical when angry.
      - Is a fairy, complete with wings (that she uses to actually fly) and a USB cable.
      - Keeps hair short, topped with two miniature pigtails tied with red ribbons.
      - Dons a simple pink dress, black stretch shorts and boots.
      - Is small and unassuming-enough to go largely unnoticed.
      - Is also a tad bit too self-conscious, working under the impression that no one likes her despite her massive popularity in the handheld market.
      - Considers the Sega Dreamcast to be the best console ever made.
      - While usually civil with Palm Pilot-tan, she does have an ongoing blood feud with her prominant rival PalmOS-tan.
      - Is also locked in petty disputes and the occasional serious skirmish with other portable OS-tans (such as Minix-tan), but prefers not to involve her larger relatives in these miniature conflicts.

    Windows 2000

    Name: Windows 2000-tan
    aka: Windows 2000 Professional, Win2K, Windows NT 5.0, 2K-tan

      debut: 18 Feb 2000
      height: 168 cm [5'6"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: blue
      hair color: blue

      - Has intelligent, professional and reserved disposition.
      - Is a world reknowned "Meganekko",
      - Keeps hair short, with cat ear-shaped hairclips and a small white bonnet with the Windows logo.
      - Dons a Windows logo-colored swimsuit underneath a blue long coat.
      - Is considered the most stable and dependable of all the present Windows Girls, although constantly fears being outperformed by the newer generations.
      - Is still the official family Domain Controller
      - Is considered Me-tan's guardian due, but is mainly responsible for keeping ALL Windows-tans out of trouble (Me requiring the most attention).
      - Is perhaps the most aware of the "outside" world due to her position, but generally keeps this to herself so as not to disrupt the peace.
      - Dislikes being outclassed, so prefers to avoid contact with higher-end OS-tans.

    Windows ME

    Name: Windows ME-tan
    aka: Windows Millennium Edition, Emmui-chan

      debut: 14 Sep 2000

      - Has long and unusually-strong cowlick.
      - Keeps hair in long braided pigtails.
      - Dons a maid outfit with an error icon badge.
      - Freezes constantly and is generally considered least reliable Windows OS.
      - Is a certified klutz
      - Is the second most prolific scallion user before Linspire-tan.
      - Is much sought after by OS9-kun.
      - Loves rollcake.

    Windows XP Professional

    Name: Windows XP Professional-tan
aka: XP, XP Pro, Windows Experience, Whistler, Saseko, Pekepi

      debut: 25 Oct 2001
      height: 171 cm [~5'7"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: blue
      hair color: black

      - Has friendly, energetic and youthful disposition.
      - Has exceedingly large breasts due to her bloated size and memory consumption.
      - Keeps hair long, and wears a ribbon shaped as the "XP" logo over her left bang.
      - Dons a somewhat-skimpy blue and white uniform with a passive resemblance to a sailor uniform; the disjointed sleaves add a rare kind of beauty but are otherwise pointless.
      - Is considered the prettiest Windows-tan of all and has a massive following of fanboys (and some fangirls).
      - But is also derided as an "Activation Whore" by those who know her more closely.
      - Is the most energetic and best performing of all the Windows-tans, but feels challenged by Vista-tan in terms of performance and looks.
      - Has voracious eating habits due to her system hogging, so much so that she's considered more "glutton" than "gourmand"
      - Has recently been appointed to lead reconciliation efforts with the House of Mac, and is the first Windows-tan in history to work closely with a Mac-tan (OSX Tiger-san) without any [recorded] hostilities.

    Windows XP Home

    Name: Windows XP Home-tan
    aka: XP Home, Homeko

      debut: 25 Oct 2001
      height: 169 cm [~5'6.5"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: green
      hair color: green

      - Is XP Pro-tan's twin sister
      - Has impulsive, antagonistic and lecherous disposition.
      - Also has large breasts like her twin sister, but not nearly as unwieldly.
      - Keeps hair tied up in a short ponytail, and wears "XP"-shaped hair clips over her left bang.
      - Often dons a simple green sweatsuit, not fussing over her appearance as much as XP-tan.
      - Is considered pretty, but not particularly approachable; fanboys must advance at their own risk.
      - Is a famous hentai manga artist, and often likes to practice unique "approaches" on her own to improve her work.
      - Is a tad bit of a glutton as well, but is usually too engrossed in her work to eat regularly.
      - Has reliable-enough performance, but is too sloppy to compete with her sister; nevertheless, it's not beneath her to flaunt her skills with lesser Windows-tans.
      - Doesn't seem to mind her borderline-incestual fascination with her younger brother Homeo.

    Windows XP Media Edition

    Name: Windows XP Media Edition-tan
aka: XP MCE, XP Media Center Edition, Symphony, Moseko

      debut: 12 Oct 2004
      height: 173 cm [5'8"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: green
hair color: green w/ blue tips

      - Has gentle, cheerful and oblivious disposition.
      - Has ridiciously-large and unwieldy breasts, since she possessed the highest hardware requirements to date.
      - Keeps hair long, topped with a maid's bonnet and ME-tan style cowlick.
      - Dons a revealing green and blue hybrid between a school uniform and a maid outfit.
      - Also dons an error icon badge eerily similar to ME-tan's.
      - Officially XP Pro and XP Home-tan's sister, but is far more sisterly with ME-tan and spends the most time with her.
      - Not a clutz or a system wreck like ME-tan, but is fairly error-prone and buggy in her own right.
      - Is very knowledgeable with home electronics, but second-rate when it comes to actual computing issues.

    Windows 2003 (aka "Saba")

    Name: Windows Server 2003-tan
aka: Windows .NET Server, "Whistler Server", "Saba"

      debut: 24 Apr 2003
      height: 140 cm [4'7"]
      weight: ?? kg
      eye color: blue-green
      hair color: plum

      - Has friendly, devoted and adventerous disposition.
      - Is half-human, half mackerel, and can be easily-recognized by the large fishtail behind her.
      - Keeps hair long, topped with an ethernet hub in place of a bonnet.
      - Dons a grey vest-style top, a short white skirt, ethernet cables for a belt, and water-tight grey leggings and boots.
      - Has red bows with the Windows logo decorating her chest as well as her tail.
      - Is usually a workaholic of the 2K-tan calibre and rarely has a chance to interact with non-fish Windows girls.
      - But she does use her leisure time effectively, roaming both land and sea, and generally getting herself into trouble.
      - Is often accompanied by other "Saba"-tans, although the latter are seen even more rarely than 2003.

    Windows Vista (fka "Longhorn")

      hair color: multicolored?

      -More commonly known as SCOPE-sama.
-Shown very little love or respect by her family [the CDC family], but has over time risen to become their leader, and the most successful CDC-tan, despite not getting any respect from her descendants.
-Has an inferiority complex that wasn't entirely unjustified and feels the need to prove herself.
-Likes to test and mess around with experiments, and is quite good at it.
-Greatly satisfied by the defeat of the rival/usurper SPIROS-tan. Also defeated NOS-tan, another usurper and arch-rival.
-A great believer in "the right to rise", and prone to giving motivational speeches.
-Has a love/hate relationship with her own employees.
-Is a fast runner, great at multitasking, and good at delegating tasks to her assistants.
-An associate of the Cray-tans, and is good friends with Cray-1-tan.
-Has visible stitches on her arms; has wild and messy hair in several different colors. Her eyes are always wide-open.
-Dresses simply but well; reflecting her success, but doesn't like to show off.

      Name: OS/360-tan
      aka: IBM System/360 Operating System

        debut: 1964
        height: 173 cm [5'8"]
        weight: ??kg
        eye color: grey
        hair color: dark grey

-Mildly schizophrenic, generally finds it difficult to multitask, and is notoriously clumsy.
-Secure in her belief in IBM's superiority over their competitors, and is prone to spouting company rhetoric. Known to be boisterous, yet easier to get along with than her older sisters.
-Skilled at a variety of governmental and scientific functions.
        -Is almost immortal.
-Has excellent communication skills, and is popular with other mainframe OS-tans, and also good at talking with modern PC-tans.
-However, she is very possessive and territorial, sworn enemy of MTS-tan and all other third-party OS-tans who wish to use her equipment (IBM System/360 mainframes).
-Has long dark grey hair, wears a long and frilly grey blouse patterned after the System/360 mainframe, pearl jewelry, hoop earrings, and a long blue+black plaid skirt.

-Has long black hair worn straight.
-Wears a red+white dress with a lightning bolt pattern. Her dress looks like a cross between a dirndl and a kimono.

        -Close companion of IBM AIX-tan.
-Quite competent at her job, but has some self esteem issues ("At one time, CMS was capable of running on a bare machine, as a true operating system (though of course nobody would do this)") leading to her dedication to serving others.

-Generally treated as an equal by OS/360-tan, her right hand comrade.
-Gifted speaker, commands the loyalty of terminals, and has a devoted following as a result.
-Occasionally referred to as GECOS's mother, for some reason (Hacker's Jargon File states GECOS was a copy of DOS/360, which isn't true)
-Easy going, very steadfast and trustworthy. The most happy-go-lucky of the IBM-tans.
-Hard of hearing, has to be told things over and over (lacked a loader)
-Capable of moving extremely fast to a specific target
-Served as a scout to the IBM forces
-While on assignment, formed the DOSSE faction to unite the DOS-tans she shared a namesake with.
-Handwriting almost indecipherable (JCL was hard for programmers to use)
-Wears fancy dresses, keeps her hair in pigtails.

        Oh my...

I'll try to help as much as I can! I didn't even notice that the wiki was down... it's not down for the count, is it? @@

        Aurora Borealis

I didn't know it was down until a few days ago, but it's back up again this morning! I was afraid it was gone altogether!

Still, I think this will make a good thread for beginners to check out, and a place to work on character bios since not everybody can seem to register for the wiki.

Well, any of the living IAS's plus VM/CMS and MACE would go into the Mainframe category.  Except for JOHNNIAC and SMIL who'd probably belong to the Binteeji Renmei.   Then again, I think the Mainframe guild may have to be subdivided at this point with the large CDC & IBM families and at some time in the past I imagine there used to be a Midwest Alliance which would have included the CDC-tans, MCP, UMES, the mid-western IAS's, and MTS.  That, and the formerly giant IAS Family.

Couple of others; UMES, WEIZAC, and OS^3 are all deceased.  I'd say IAS-sama would probably be loosely affiliated with the Binteeji Renmei, ILLIAC-senpai with the Linux/Unix Consortium, RCA TSOS with the Mainframes, and SABRE as a wanderer.

I may have thought about this possibility for a long time.

        Aurora Borealis

I'll add those characters into the factions. ILLIAC being associated with the Linux/Unix Consortium seems unusual but especially interesting since she's neither of those, yet has associated with them. Now, what's her viewpoint on their ideals? Does she agree with the more liberal-minded members (i.e. many of the Linuces), or the more hard-lined conservative members (i.e. many of the Unices in the faction)?

Didn't know that UMES, WEIZAC and OS^3 are deceased though.

Is MTS still part of the Mainframe Guild, as well as the living CDC-tans?

I imagine FreeVMS-tan MUST be a part of the CIOST, as FreeVMS-tan is OpenVMS-sama's adopted daughter.

THOR and Multics-sama are probably with the Binteeji Renmei.

I'd like to include the Data General-tans in the list: AOS-tan, DGUX-tan and RDOS-tan. Dunno what group they'd go into, though, but I'm sure all are alive.

Quote from: "stewartsage"Then again, I think the Mainframe guild may have to be subdivided at this point with the large CDC & IBM families and at some time in the past I imagine there used to be a Midwest Alliance which would have included the CDC-tans, MCP, UMES, the mid-western IAS's, and MTS. That, and the formerly giant IAS Family.

Good point: I imagine there would've been a number of factions in the past, probably too many to list here (plus it would make things confusing deluxe). There would have definitely been a DEC faction, DG faction and possibly an MIT faction....

I've always viewed the Mainframe Guild as a faction that can only be viewed through a modern-day perspective; it's the last holdout of the stubborn old school mainframe OS-tans, their way of staying separate and "above" the others.

        Aurora Borealis

I got most of the Windows-tan bios from the original Annex Project thread up, with some updating where needed (i.e: XP's rivalry with Vistan).

RDOS-tan is listed in the CIOST, which I think suits her! AOS and DG/UX are added to the unsorted list. I'm sure they'd make for good CIOST members too, but need your confirmation.

Multics-sama could be part of the Binteeji Renmei? Just imagine how much prestige they will gain for her membership! :)

Interestingly... The Mac-tans visit the Vintage-tans quite a bit, and that means they probably know her! A bonus for the OSX-tans for meeting one of their oldest biological ancestors!

If the Mainframes are still that distant and old-school today, I've decided to have CRAY-1 will likely be a wanderer. She used to be like them but is much more down-to-earth in the present day, though she can still give the current mainframe-tans some words of wisdom!

I forgot to mention, what factions are the rest of the DEC-tans in? (TOPS-20, RSTS, VAXELN, RT-11, OS/8. )

I belive Fedora said something about getting it back up and running here...

I saw that, and am glad it's back up, but wanted to revive this as a way to introduce and summarize all the characters in one thread, while the wiki goes further in-depth with everything.

Actually, the only current ILLIAC is Linux based^^'.  ILLIAC-senpai's 'ideals' could be classified as "Let me eat pizza and occasionally do science" ;)  I'd be tempted to call her a wanderer, but she is friends with Linux-tan so where she part of any faction it would be that.

MTS-tan is dead too ;__;  Is Music/CP on the list?

Yeah, and as a guild I'd imagine it would have been the factions that composed a council of some sort.  As for the CDC's, TSOS, and most of the IBM's; its a tough call to place them in the Mainframe Guild.  It would probably be more as a show of solidarity with the old school then any particular ideological agreement.  Except for maybe MACE & OS/360.

        Aurora Borealis

Oh! Didn't know that ILLIAC is currently Linux-based! I like her ideals, though they'd probably get her kicked out of the LUC. o_o

Awww... Didn't know that MTS-tan is dead. :(

MUSIC/CP isn't on the list (I forgot to add her), but I'll add her.

I see. It seemed strange at first, having some of the nicer/less arrogant Mainframes still be in the guild. Guess they're there for old time's sake after all.

Yesss, "The Trusted ILLIAC was completed in 2006 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Coordinated Science Laboratory and Information Trust Institute. It is a 256 node Linux cluster, with each node having two processors."  Probably, but I doubt she'd mind.  ILLIAC VI is under construction now, maybe that'll get her back in gear.

Unfortunately, the University of Michigan moved on and eventually so did the rest of the schools that she served.

Couldn't have the lesser OS's thinking that they were an easy target.

Em, I agree using Nanami to represent 7 since it's the "official" one...(make me wonder what they will react when see XP USA ;) )
Quote"OS Tan Collection reminds you that your OS will never threaten to stab you(Unless somebody programmed it to do it) and, in fact, cannot speak(Unless somebody programmed it to do it, too). In the event that your OS does speak, OS Tan Collection urges you to disregard its advice(Unless it suggest you only good thing)."

        Aurora Borealis

Okay. That's one vote for Nanami being the Windows 7-tan. Anyone else in favor or against?

In fact, should Windows 7-tan and Vistan be included, even though there doesn't seem to be a consensus for their designs or personalities? Keep in mind that even with Nanami's debut, the many other Windows 7-tan designs made before her are still being drawn.

Ahahahaha! I've read the available pages of Trouble Windows USA! Creepy stuff, especially XP USA! o_o

UPDATE: Incorporated the bios for OS/360-tan, TSOS-tan and SCOPE-sama, but need some unknown details filled in. Also got started typing up some placeholder information for the mainframe-tans.  :)

Well, as it is we have two ways to choose - either follow the official line and what's currently clear and available; or attempt to follow the stance of Futaba and the japanese fandom as closely as possible, in order to keep the eastern/western communities with as similar views of things as is viable.

With this said, the difficulty lies in scraping the moonspeak off the wall and understanding it, getting to the moonspeak in the first place, AND determining whatever -tan is the "canon" Futaba 7-tan. Looking in the gallery through the Warp Zone, the 7-tan I posted images of (the one with some strange comb-like thing on her head and gray hair etc) seems to be in favor recently, however the design, although quite refined, doesn't seem to have many months behind it - it's only recently started to appear. I DO, however, recognize some of the more popular artists' styles in the imagery of her, and the more recent 2-or-so pages consist nearly exclusively of her as of now. This may change however...so really, I dunno.
Personally, however, I am going to vote for an open solution based on the latter alternative - we document what is available on Nanami as of now, but attempt to focus on what's happening on Futaba, and what comes out from there.
