Title: R.I.P
Post by: Ultimaninja on March 06, 2008, 06:18:33 PM
We salute you Gary Gygax. A true legend to gamers and the role playing genre itself. I myself loved the D&D series, and cannot truly fathom the amount of thanks and honors I wish I could do for him.

As many people have said before me,
"Roll up a new sheet wherever you incarnate next, Gary."

Anyone else here know of him?

I heard AnimeSuki talk about it, but no.
Still, mourn for the fallen warriors.

Well, even though I never got any further than MTG I did and do have respect for the man for creating such a monster game and it's a shame that he had to go (he wasn't even that old...)

Heard about him from the webcomic Order of the Stick (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0536.html). Although I haven't played D&D since I was a kid and then only a couple of times, his impact on fantasy stuff generally far outstrips his work solely on D&D imo. He will be missed :-/

Also! Chaotic neutral ftw :D
