Being sort of new to OS-tans and all, sometimes I find a character who I'm just not sure about.

Given the style of the horns, I'd say Longhorn-tan.

If I recall, I believe her name is Astaroth or something like that. Not an OS-tan as far as I know, but one fo the hundreds of thousands of Futaba Channel characters out there. ^^'
May appear alongside OS-tans from time to time, but so do many of the other characters.

I found this one hanging over at the 98 section of the Futaba-ostan.com gallery. I don't know anything here, just that it's supposed to be some SE tan...anyone? (for me, i can't even see if it's a guy or a girl!)
That might just be an old rendition of 98SE-tan. Most likely female.

Never were able to identify the naked -tan, -kun, whatever, but the fact that she/he/it has a 64 on the beret does not bode well for the safety of a potential XP 64-bit Edition-tan. ^^;

Has to be an alternate XP. Every other one in the picture is a Windows-kun of some sort, and he is sandwiched in between two XP-kuns, so That's my guess

The red one would indeed be an alternate XP-kun design; I recall seeing him and the two others representing different color themes (which makes the main colors of their costumes) in some comics a time ago.

The girls with the +'s on their hats as well as the girl to the left with the pigtails are characters created by +Nijiura+ and the two women beside CE-tan and DOSkitty are Saeko (an office assistant in the Japanese version of MS Word) and Outlook-tan
to figure out those ones you best read those comics, those are all characters that have appeared in it

A very old representation of Windows 3.1 as a robot being piloted by DOS-tan. Oddly enough that DOS-tan looks like a mix between MS DOS-tan and DOS/V-tan. May have been a catch-all for all DOSes before MS DOS-tan and DOS V-tan were created as seperate characters based off of that one.
