I'm just too obsessed with this to not talk about it.
Problem is, I don't exactly know what to talk about.
First things first, how many of you have seen it, what do you think about it, and if you haven't seen it, do you have any idea what it's about?
After that we can talk about characters and such. ^^

I liked it. Its one of the better brainfuck animes out there (the only other one from the genre that I like is Ergo Proxy). Every episode seemed to end on a cliffhanger :P I don't think it has all that much rewatch value though, but its definitely worth watching once
Have you read the TIPS? It's been translated at AnimeSuki somewhere.
In any case, it seems that the visual novel messed with your head even more, with lots of red herrings and stuff. They had to shorten it in the anime, so most of that was removed. I really wish I could read Japanese.....

indeed they be slow. ^^ But I started with Triad and I intend to finish with Triad. They've started subbing Higurashi again anyway.
Higurashi, however was the first time I was impatient enough to go an download from another subber to finish the series. I liked it that much. (Either that, or their cliffhangers kept me addicted)
And like I said, WinD has decent subs. There were one or two things that irked me, but nothing major (as evidenced by the fact I can't remember what they were). I heard their first subs had a few more errors, but I didn't watch em.

I went into it not knowing what it was about, but from the art i had seen I assumed it was a cute funny one.. not one about insanity and murder.

Just try to formulate your own guesses and hypothesis about why this and that happens. That's what makes this series interesting.
Even at the end of the series, there's no final answer.
There's a supernatural factor (more like CUTE MOE and "HORNY" supernatural factor...but it isn't displayed in the series. Only int he game. And the fanart. Which I have a lot) playing an important role on this series, but that doesn't mean that EVERYTHING is supernatural (like ringU and such)
and it seems the series comes in short 4 ep stories that are related but slightly different from one another... differnt each time, so im sure in some of them its not a curse or oger.. in others it might be

Yes, they're called "Arcs".
Some things remain the same in all the arcs, but others change a bit. Even a slight change can change completely the outcome. That's where the fun starts, because by the time you think you have resolved everything, or at least something important, then the next arc changes the perspective completely and so you have to start again from zero...or maybe not. Who knows?
Some arcs gives you the impression that everything is caused by a curse, but in others it seems that everything is a conspiration that can be explained rationally. And some arcs explain other arcs, from a different perspective, showing that maybe what you thought was wrong. Or maybe not
It gives you the chance of viewing the story from a different perspective.

you know... even without the armor... space marines are 10 foot tall giants that are (minus those that are mutating) geneticly perfect and biomechanicly enhanced. they can loose limbs and the wound clots instantly, they can survive in vacume for a few minutes, stay awake for weeks without sleeping, gain knowlage from consuming the flesh of their enemys, crush a mans head in their hand, spit a weak acid, see dozens of times further then a normal man and in the dark, and the list goes on. Thats like, naked. The power armor is the crowning peice of it all. Playing the RTSes and things like that they dont seem that bad ass for game purposes, but if you read the comics and books one space marine is literaly worth 100 normal men on the battlefeild. Every one of them is about as bad ass as cheif.
And he is the same way... well not nessicarily all the super powers, but the being geneticly and biomechanicly enhanced and all that. read the halo books, they rock.
and back on topic, not only as an artist do I feel its my obligation to support the industry I want to get into, but also as a police force hopefull it wouldnt be a wise idea to break federal copyright laws (because the key word in that is federal aka a felony)

Oh. I love this series it quickly jumped into my top 5. So it sits at alevel with : Neon genesis Evangelion, Ghost in the shell, The Melancholy of Haruhi suzumiya and Elfen Lied.
Oh and my favourite main characters are mion, shion and a tie between Rika and Keiichi, but Rena and satoko are also good.(Its hard to choose.)
My favourite secondary characters are Kasai, Akasaka, Oishi and Dr. Irie.
