Brief comments for each one of:  ^.^

Macintosh System 1.0  -- excellent, and clever use of the hammer.  Glad you took up the slack for the Mac-tans, since I got lazy and left Generic Mac-tan to represent all the pre-OS9 versions.  ^__^

Macintosh System 6.0.8-tan -- excellent, and judging by your knowledge, it shows you're a definitve Mac user.  ^__^

Macintosh System 7-tan -- excellent, of course, and clearly another -tan with a vendatta against Windows (there are lots).  oh and come now...  let the old hag into your comics.  That way you can give her what she's got coming.  ^__^

Rhapsody/OS X Server-tan -- excellent, but surprised she didn't get a cat codename.  '_'

Solaris-tan -- cute.  ^.^
But bear in mind that Solaris is a very powerful system, so make sure she's able to whoop people in their place if need be.  There is a SunOS out there, but it's not much to go by...

QNX Neutrino-tan -- sweet.  ^v^
And a big help too, since I needed a QNX-tan but was a little undecided on how to do her personality.  Certainly a smart and skilled scientist would be more useful to OS/2-tan's cause.  When the time comes, would you mind if I borrowed her?  ^__^

RedHat -- fabulous!  And it parallels other RedHat designs too, so it's like we're all in compliance on how she should look.  ^__^

Plus I too have in mind making her (and Fedora) be secret agents.  RedHat-tan's a done deal, then!  ^v^

Windows 1.0-tan -- hmmm,... I know where you're getting at with the hair, but I'm not sure if the ME-look fits her era.  You can always describe her "bad reputation" in your comic in other ways.  Sea-green hair is fine, but how about a style change?  ^__^

We're certainly in sync that she's a rebel yet doesn't like to talk much, and that she gets along well with the OSX girls.  She should probably wield some handheld weapons or two since the famous PC game "DOOM" was originally designed on her platform.  And perhaps it'd be cute to give her a hobby that's completely uncharacteristic of someone who looks so tough and belligerent.  Given the significance of "Darwin" between her and the OSX-tans, how about bug-collecting?  ^__^

Back in the days when I was using an Apple Macintosh IIvx, I never took the time to get to know OS7-tan; and now I wish I had.  The poor thing!  She seems all sad-like, so I should send her a communication to let her know how much I appreciated all her excellent work.  (On my local machine, she had a whopping 10 megabytes of random-access memory to work with.)

And something funny I forgot to mention: My first idea for a Mac OS 8-tan was going to be an old school rapper girl! Because OS 8 is one of the classic Mac OSes and I would have incorporated the platinum interface with the usage of platinum jewelry. Lots of platinum! But then I thought the "battle-scarred girl with automail and bandages" version was better because I could mention her being the current OS when Apple was at their worst but survived.


And here's MS Bob-tan! A dog girl maid whose clumsiness rivals ME-tans! She's an anthro version of Rover, the dog introduced in Bob (who also appears in XP!) and she wears metal armbands and legbands made out of paper clips, reference to one of Microsoft's best known mascots, Clippy the paper clip and it's also makeshift jewelry because MS Bob was far from professional! The big thick glasses are from the Bob logo. She ran away from home when 95-tan's popularity left Bob-tan living in her shadow to fade into obscurity. She's of the wandering class and can never return home. She wants revenge on 95-tan. Macintosh System 7-tan has empathy for her, plenty of it too! Watch out 95-tan!  ;006 (but either one getting revenge is just a distant dream of theirs.)

Palm OS-tan! She's a little fairy like CE-tan and they're also coworkers! They don't fight each other anymore but may still have some issues to settle. She's a flight attendant and pilot- referring to Palm Pilot. But what kind of accessories or items should she have?


Mac OS 8-tan. She's battle-scarred and almost ended up a casualty. She was the current Mac OS when Apple was at its worst, but also current when Apple began to make a comeback. She survived but it cost her an arm and a leg! Pun somewhat intended as she has has an Automail arm and leg, reference to Fullmetal Alchemist, but her Automail (, headband and bracelet) are made of platinum, referring to the Platinum interface of OS 8 and OS 9. OS 8-tan is also known as Veronica (which is the codename of 8.6). Despite the hardships she endured, she is very cheerful because she's just glad to be alive! She also saved her cousin or halfsister, NeXTSTEP-tan when she was at the brink of dying even though trying to save her was potentially suicidal. However, BE OS-tan (no, I don't have any ideas for a BE OS-tan. sorry.) also in serious need of help, but OS 8-tan ended up leaving her to die. (Good gosh! What's up with these Mac OS girls leading others to their demise?!)

Or just base them on whatever happened on the year of the release, or have them intentionally look like System 1 but with some notable difference.

But she is only 6.0.8-tan for the sake of the Terminator references but then again she uses the phrase "Big Deal!" a lot which is a reference to 6.0.5's codename! Contradictory is it?

So... Who's in favor of keeping Terminator-tan as System 6.0.8-tan and who's in favor of her just being System 6-tan?

  Despite her homicidal tendencies, OS/2-tan is actually a surprisingly considerate person and hasn't actually coerced any of her members to join (and certainly in Tandy-tan's case, occasionally wishes she'd leave).  So yes, I figure QNX-tan chose to be a member for a nice change of pace and to help out a fellow underdog.  But even as a full member, her heart is not in it for anything else but the leisure, so even if she went full-time, their offensive capabilities wouldn't change.  If anything, she'd probably work harder to turn the A$C back to a peaceful organization, but for now it doesn't seem to hurt her to indulge in OS/2-tan's silly vendettas.  ^__^

OS3-chan is very possessive of OS9-kun and loves to drag him everywhere.  Might be due to the love of a sweet older sister,... or it could just be that OS9-kun is the only guy nice enough to be a pack mule for all her shopping needs.  ^^'

Due to the chaos, guests are pretty much ignored for the first 15 minutes, with two exceptions:

One is OS5-chan, who just tries to scare them.

The other are the iPod-tans, most of whom huddle around guests like refugees of some ongoing torment.  -v-

OS8-tan and Generic Mac are inseparable, but Generic Mac and Tiger-sama have a little power-struggle going and tend to argue an awful lot.

Sonata-san and OS9.2-tan are the same way, but tend to be a lot more subtle with their competitiveness.

Never ask OS2-tan a question, if you don't have the patience to sit through four hours of lecture.

Likewise, never eat anything cooked by Puma-chan.  There's a reason why she has a confidence problem.  ^^'

The closest thing to a DOOM-tan was my early preconcept notion for NeXTSTEP-tan, who would've been dressed in the DOOM marine armor (and maybe helmet from time to time).  But it shouldn't be too hard to equip the same NeXTSTEP-tan with that kind of armor, wielding a BFG-9000 before a zombie/demon horde.  ^___^

TRSDOS-tan is a proud follower of the Cult of Radio Shack, and consequently carries around a copy of the Holy Manual (="Employee" manual).  The "R" might not be familiar to you right away, but that's cause she prefers the older edition (the one based on the old Radio Shack logo)...

Her book serves as both a source of fervor and as a projectile weapon (in fact, she seems to be able to create an infinite number of them at will to toss at her enemies, or preach them to death).  Tandy-chan is very puritanical, very quick to criticize, stubborn-enough to put a mule to shame, and very hostile to new things (except for, strangely-enough, hardware).

By now, most of the A$C girls know how to work around or amuse themselves with her quirks, and still greatly appreciate her free tech support (she's to OS/2-tan as Scotty is to Kirk, in the latter's words).  But when she does get too out of hand, their best bet is to let her engross herself in her book for a few minutes.  Or preferrably hours.  ^^;
