I'll have my PowerMac with OS9 soon hopefully.

Dustii: I totally read your first post in Simon's voice from Yogscast.

I think most of us have been transfixed by election matters recently. Hence the low amount of forum activity. ^^;

True that, Bella

@Dustii: Very nice ^^
Since I notice you're running Netscape in your OS9 box, you might be interested in trying Classilla (http://www.floodgap.com/software/classilla/). It's the browser I often suggest to people using OS9, since it's quite nice :3

i dont really plan on using it for web. even if i wanted to, i havent found a way to get sheepsaver to allow it to access my internet.

The image of OS9 i got came with Netscape... and IE5, and AppleWorks, & Quick Time & iTunes & A-Dock, and a slew of other stuff.

There are several, but some that I like are:

- Diablo (Dungeon crawler \ hack 'n' slash. This series seems to be popular among site staff)
- Marathon (First installment in a trilogy of FPSes. Created by the developer that went on to create Halo)
- Nanosaur (A 3rd-person shooter that was typically bundled with iMacs from the late '90s. Enjoyable)

hmmm.. good suggestions, i guess...
know of any good casual games (simulation, puzzle, etc...)?

EDIT: I was Googling games, and i learned that the Wii game Secret of Monkey Island was originally an old Mac game!

my bad. the Wii game was a sequel. still cool though.

Yep :3

As for more casual stuff, there was a card game collection I loved, but I can't remember what the name was. It had something like 100 different card games, including solitaire

Guys, honestly, blogging/IM-style 1 on 1 go in their respective corners of the web, and we have Topicless for random chatter.

No blogging allowed.

Nejin's got a point. I'd suggest instant messaging, or possibly the IRC. :)

Once again the board seems slow... Did everyone just get busy? *sees tumbleweed blow across OSC*

It seems only a few topics are really getting any attention...

Mac OS 9 run only on PowerPC processors. Seem me strange it runs on virtual machines on IntelX86... There is still no valid ppc emulator...

@Dustii: It seems everyone is busy with work or school right now :\

Its not virtual machine. SheepShaver emulates the Mac OS hardware. (Its like a task specific PPC emulator, being as it only supports Mac OS classic OSes.)

...we really should move this to another topic, being as earlier here 2 people noted that this is highly off topic and more of random chatter.

@PentiumMMX guess your right. :/ wish there was more OStan discussion going on...
