what are some of the other sites you guys interact with on a regular basis? :3
besides here (which is likely what i interact with most), i have facebook, gaia (mostly just picking up free items and feeding the fish these days, idk if that counts as "interaction" :\), yahoo (sparingly, oddly enough), and dragoncave. there's also my school's site, but that's work, not lesiure. :\
i also keep some tabs open constantly, such as a few webcomics and stuff i haven't read/watched/downloaded yet.
I have a Gaia as well,
I'm a moderator of the largest guild based on its mmo.
There's also art of me in its mmo :)
other than that, DA and Star Trek Online.
TechPowerUp, which is a PC gaming and hardware site, Facebook and YouTube these days mainly.
i have accounts on other sites, too, but i don't use them much.
and i'm trying to get more into DA. :3
DA as Daslineal
battle.net (Starcraft II)
Youtube
pretty much it, tend to just stay around here most of the time or youtube -.-
Well...
Here, dA, TokyoToshokan, 4chan, Danbooru and the other usual suspects...also some 3k-related sites, like the Koei forum.
what's tokyo toshokan? sounds cool. :3
That Place Where One Gets All Animu-Related Torrentry One Would Think Of Getting.
Aka, where I lurk 24/7 to check for new releases. -w-
luucky *pouts* i wish i could torrent, or had a torrent-monkey to use as my download slave. >>;
dA
Facebook
Yahoo (email + IM)
...I lurk Craigslist a lot, looking for old computers and stuff in my area. : |
craiglist is one of those things i always mean to go on but never do. :\
DA, Facebook, Junior General, here, Board Game Geeks, a variety of RPG forums, and I have been known to lurk /u/.
Some sites I frequent are Finnish, so hardly worth pointing them out here. ._. A few news and radio sites, my favourite ice-hockey team's website, that's pretty much it.
BBC.co.uk for international news, Feministing.com, FB (most of the news feed comes from one single Portuguese person, and typically I don't understand Portuguese at all), six webcomics, and a couple of other forums. ^^ I don't really post anywhere else than here, though.

Finnish team called Ilves (means lynx in English) from Tampere, the city I live in. That's one thing I share with the rest of my family: my father and big brother have been huge fans always and I've inherited that as well. x)
My big brother's followed the NHL as well, and his favourite team I think is Detroit Red Wings. I've never followed that though, so cannot really tell mine.
Cool. I just ask everyone, regardless of nationality or the team's nationality. Mainly because no one else in my family is really much of a hockey fan.
That seems to be everyone in Europe's favorite team. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Oh, I have the feeling the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup when my brother was in the critical age or something. xD
I used to go watch quite a lot of games some years back, but since I moved to the western edge of the city, the trip to the ice hall would require taking two buses and walk a bit after as well, so I've stuck to listening to them in the radio. ~.~
I've never been to an actual game, I live too far away from any rinks. Though I do watch just about any match that comes on TV.
From what I've heard, the games are a bit more like big events in North America than here with lots more spectators. The ice halls here are quite small: the current one in Tampere only draws something like 7,800 spectators when totally full and I think it's the second or third biggest in the country. Obviously, the size of the country has something to do with it as well. xD
The Tampere ice hall is also the oldest ice hall built in Finland (and according to players has the worst-quality ice in the country), and a replacement for it's been planned already. I'm a bit sad about that still, as I really like the old one. ._.
There are three forums I visit regularly (including this one), two Finnish news sites, BBC's website, couple blogs relevant to my interests, wikipedia and youtube. 4chan I haven't been really visiting nowadays, but I'll mention it since two years ago I spent there hours every day. xP Hmmm... Danbooru, serebii, a certain LGBT community site, some Finnish library sites useful when at work, deviantart, some online clothing stores...
I think those were the most common sites I visit aside from the sites I won't mention here. :p
Yeah, the Flyer's current rink can hold about 19,000 I think. A lot of the WHL games I watch are about that size though, I think.
Sounds like the Red Wing's old rink :/
@remillia: what kind of clothing? :3 and why the drop off in 4chan? just don't like it anymore? :\
@pitkin: consider listening to hockey on the radio a warm-up for when you move to france, cause once you move you REALLY won't be about to get to the ice hall. xD
@stew: who's your favourite team? :3
Well, when it comes to buying clothes online, I mostly try to find some clothes that aren't too mainstream, but hopefully still something I would dare to wear outside (although currently I'm making an exception to this rule because of... well, see the fetish thread :p).
I didn't have anything to do back then (or was just too bored of everything to have any motivation of doing something useful), so my days consisted mostly of playing Touhou and pressing F5 on 4chan when I wasn't playing. Now that I haven't been unemployed and have plenty of other things to do, I just haven't had time for that site and I'm quite okay with this (okay, I admit that I'd like to have less working hours and more spare time per week).
@Choco, I definitely do. x) It won't change much however, as this season for example I've seen only one game, and last season as well. The change will be quite minimum in France at the end, as I still can resort to internet radios. ^.^
My favourite hockey team is the Bruins .w.
I lurk /u/ too. ^^ And Wakachan (mostly Net Characters) and +Nijura+
Ah, I visit TV Tropes a LOT too. And Wikipedia, Craked and The Jargon File. That's my axis of computer-time-wasting-evil. >___<
Yay! A fellow Troper! Any other fellow Tropers?
StumbleUpon... And, ehh...
Craigslist... I silently keep up with quakeworld.nu, too
The Zune development forums are stealing me lately. :p
@aurora: i avoid tropes like the PLAGUE. it's bad enough i wikiwalk.
oh, and, i can has cheezburger! ^^
@svx: alot of kids at my school use stumbleupon. i don't get it, what's it about?
i forgot, i can accidentally spend hideous amounts of time on wikipedia if i'm not careful. .__.;
Kari: It's the Philadelphia Flyers.
I forgot the tropes! Yes! I am there ALL THE TIME (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers/Hotelkilo)

My favourite hockey team is the Bruins .w.
The team I support in Finland copied the Boston Bruins' jersey design for a couple of seasons here some years ago: typically one of those seasons they finished last in the league (and last season they did it again, finishing last -.-).
it made me upset when another team copied the bruins' outfits, right down to the logo. i forget what team they were, but i know they weren't from around here. thankfully i don't think they were major-league.
i suppose this fits into the catagory of the thread: my favourite file uploading service is megaupload. i haven't really gotten any popups from there, and the only limits on downloads is a 40 second wait and 1 download at a time. :3
@choco: Stumble is awesome! You get to set up your interests for things you like (anime, military, comedy, photography, drawing, flash games, music, etc), and then you get a plugin for your browser... Then, you click the button and it'll give you a random website/image/video related to some of your interests. Then you can like/dislike it, send it to friends who have Stumble, etc... It's easy to waste hours from the sheer variety :p
interesting. maybe i'll give it a shot :3
A lot of teams have the Bruins logos, for example Providence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Providence_Bruins). They're usually farm teams.
even so, it still annoys me a bit. you don't see people copying logos in other sports >__<
Providence Bruins?! WTH?! D:
They're the old Maine Mariners.... who had an awesome logo and were a Flyer's team.
ok, wtf. hockey just became more confusing than fricken curling. >__<
thinkgeek. :3
dA to upload photos and interact with other artists (check out my gallery btw :P http://pwuerrer.deviantart.com (http://pwuerrer.deviantart.com))
Lavabit to check my emails
BakaBT for downloading Anime
eBay for buying computers, guitar parts and other stuff
nekochan.net (SGI computer forum)
last.fm for music recommendations
How is curling confusing, Kari? D:
eBay makes my heart weep, I've sworn off the site ever since this pristine Apple /// got sniped out from under me. ;__________;
errgh, yeah, that part is annoying (I LOST 5 ONE PIECE PLUSHIES AT ONCE GODFUCKINGDAMMIT AND ONE OF THEM WAS A FRICKEN SHANKS) but ebay is good for obscure products (they have a bigger selection than amazon, even if amazon is more reliable than ebay).
google.
i don't think about it, but i spend a ridiculous amount of time there (in small increments).
Fedora-Tan's new website: blackdiam.net (http://blackdiam.net) - not much activity there yet, and we don't know exactly what'll happen there at the end (he's planning a possible online game), but I wanted to mention it here. ^.^ The few users there so far are all from his older website, myself included.
what's it about?
Fedora-Tan's possibly planning to make a semi-cooperative political (or so) game set in some fantasy world. Terrible answer yes, but I don't really know many details and I think the idea's not totally ready yet, so I can't really give any better answer than that. x.x So far he's been very happy with every new member registered, as the forum's meant for gathering the members from some of his other sites together, and also because it's proven hard to attract much attention with a totally new site.
cool. good luck with it. :3
Aside from here, which I've recently returned to after nearly 2 years of hibernation, I also frequent these sites:
- GameFAQs (Although, not as much as I used to)
- Digital Press (I've been on their message boards since 2004, and still regularly post)
- Facebook (Mostly to keep track of my family)
- ThatGuyWithTheGlasses (I'm always there for new episodes of Nostalgia Critic, Atop the Fourth Wall, and Bad Movie Beatdown)
- Accursed Farms (Checking for new episodes of Freeman's Mind)
gamefaqs = useful :3
thatguywithglasses = funny ^^
facebook = keeps track of old friends :\
Oh, come on. Let's be honest, shall we?
facebook = ULTIMATE STALKER TOOL
Yesterday I tracked a guy I met at the SAT's only by his japanese girlfriend's first name and his face. HA.
*applause*
It's only a stalker tool if anyone wants to find you.
*sinks back to the jungle floor to wait*
i blocked my stalker. >.>;
