What's your favorite video game? Or favourite. Ehh, whichever... Isn't that why they made this Unicode heavy black heart character (❤)?
Does it vary by console/platform? Post list plz!
Is it just one game that dominates in every way possible? Post one game plz!
Hate video games? Post why you BAD_UTF_CHARACTER_NO_SOUP_FOR_YOU video games. (Pretend that's a UTF+1F494 BROKEN HEART if your fonts lack as much as mine do...)
Ehh, anyway...
My all-time fav: Star Ocean: The Second Story for the PS1 (or Evolution for the PSP, same thing)
Runner up: Ico for the PS2, and very closely a contender as my all-time fav. Here, has random fan art I found a long time ago:
Prior to 1996: Anything Sierra-related, but King's Quest VI is unforgettable
Best FPS: I still play Quake. Quake I. Constantly.
Otherwise: Morrowind is amazing!
(I ams knows why it won't let me post now. UTF+1F494 BROKEN HEART makes the forums glitch out if you insert it into some text.)
[edits by Pitkin: removed the extra posts and put this one as the first. :)]
I can't say I have an absolute best but I guess I can post some of my favs of all time for each system I've owned?
Gameboy- Pokemon Blue
Gameboy Color- Pokemon Crystal
GBA- Legend of Zelda minish cap/Pokemon
Gamecube- MoH, Mario Cart double dash, NHL2003
NDS- Pokemon soul silver (I don't own that many games so this is the one I play the most)
Xbox360- Fallout: New Vegas, Tales of Vesperia, CoD4, BlkOps
Alone in the Dark from 1992, on PC <3 - one of the first 3d games ever, it's also the scariest game I've ever played, made me scream aloud and jump off the chair. In 2009. >.<
From the past 10 years, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura from 2001, on PC again - I just love the steampunk world it features, and like how the characters interact with each other depending on the personalities and statistics. <3 Technically it's not very good, though: save-game corruption really hampers the gameplay especially later on. ._.
Oooh, this is a hard one. I'll have to get back to you.

chip's challenge, if computer games count
and same goes for Theme Hospital.
I just got Photoshop CS4 for OSX.
BEST.
GAME.
EVAR.
The fact that no one has mentioned Seiken Densetsu 3 on the Super Famicom is disturbing.
QuoteI just got Photoshop CS4 for OSX.
>implying no, I'm not going to start this. -_-;
photoshop is a joke, not a game. :\
@von: i has no famicom. but my brother used to (or still does, he can't remember) have final fantasy 4-7 for the famicom. :3 he won them in a poker game. :3 but i was viewing an auction for a wonderswan last night. :\
GTA III was a good game -w-
@choco Wondeswans are nice, though theres the language barrier, as pretty much every game is in japanese.
Also even if the handheld had like 3 versions/upgrades, it still lacked backlit screen.
Then again, part reason why it could run easily on one AA battery for 20h.
Also I'd like to see FF7 on a famicom.
:3
i'd just like to see my copy of FF7...
:[
It's an overrated PSX game anyways.
Just like Zelda OoT.
Theyre both good though.
......them's fightin' words.
seiken densetsu 3 is awesome sauce D:
Loved shadow of the colossus
The defoe series was really fun too
Somehow I forgot a few
PC: Yume Nikki, Embric of Wulfhammer's Castle

just downloaded every tune you could think of in Donkey Kong 64 yesterday, and it's making me wanna start playing it again. :3
but i promised myself i won't until my homework's done. .__.;
wow, first post from me in this thread~
I'd have to say.....
gameboy advanced - Pokemon Sapphire
Monopoly!
Diddy Kong Racing (The original Nintendo 64 version)
I've played it to death since getting it as a late Christmas gift shortly after my N64, know the game like the back of my hand, and have pretty much done everything you can possibly do. However, I still find myself going back to it ever so often; sometimes just to play through Adventure mode again, sometimes to try and beat my old time trial records, and sometimes to attempt a self-imposed challenge. Also, I have a strong preference for the original N64 version, because the DS remake was badly butchered (I admit they did get a few things right, but they broke almost everything else)
Battlestar Galactica Online is a new favorite.
*was playing donkey kong 64 for days on end*
