I was wondering about makin' Emuii-san GUI (nice green skin for my GreenOmega 64 OS, with warning icons flying around)
And, I would like to hear from other peoples too (about their ideas - anything from scratch or made with WindowBlinds!)
Well, just did a fast search on WinCustomize.org, the most prominent site for Stardock skinning product stuff, and LOOKIE WHAT I FOUND...
There's no GUI's and/or Themes or Visual Styles in there, but it's a buttload of bootscreens. A nice start, ain't it!
So here we go.

*hem* Slightly off-topic, but anyway.
As for ideas, do I hear a brainstorming session incoming? Now THAT'd be a nice thing.
Nice idea. YEAH! Bootscreen topics can come here too! -W-
I made one of those on the list. Its spreading like a virus lol. Well I'm glad to see people enjoy my work. I shall be making more OS-Tan bootskins and backgrounds. Any suggestions?
This is the one I made...

Oh lawd. That's surprising ^^
Well then, a suggestion: Do you have any theming skills? Like making Visual Styles and stuff? Because if anything, that's what we're missing here.
Otherwise, make me a 95-tan bootscreen, and make it BLOODY. >:3
Yes, we're totally missing a theme... I suppose I'm alright with themes. Guess I'll make it my next project. I'll let you guys know if I make one. One thing is for sure, it will be cool dood!
I stamp this thread with approval and eagerly await results, MAH BOI.
Party hard!
Alright. I have started making an OS-Tan based theme. I'm not too far into it yet, since my job is quite demanding =( I shall post some screenies as soon as I get everything together right. The highlights of these theme are: Start Menu, background and task bar. I will be making a black taskbar with some neat blending. Start menu has a picture of 2k-Tan inbeded. I will be including a small guide along with the theme package that will allow you to implement your own favorite OS-Tan into the Start Menu (as well as customizing my theme!). As for the background (wallpaper), I believe I'll draw my own. I happen to be an artist, so I suppose I could draw my own version of 2k-Tan. Let us be patient, since as noted above, my job is a very demanding one, consisting of 12 hour shifts. I work at a facility which produces gel; the kind we see in jell-o, paintballs and such. Hopefully I can get this done very soon. You guys seem like a good community so I'll be more than willing to help expand the collection of OS-Tan stuff. Long live those sexy OS babes! I'm a digital pimp =) Until then, later doods!
WUT, IS THAT SUM ACTUAL PROGRESS?
>w<
Looks like someone is gonna need some headchomping soon. -w-
Go for it, MAH BOI!
.... -____-
But still, I got response instantly. (the OS thread is somewhat tossed out the window.)
............. (no one is interested in almost all of my threads - oh well.)
Anyways, I have a bad news - GO64 development's temporarily halted.
(due to dead BIOS firmware - I'm using Playstation Portable at this time...)
I could, if needed, voice XP- kun.
Now I need to find a open-source graphic modeler and renderer (it has to be open-sourced since I may use some core program in the GreenOmega 64's BrokenGlass engine software to directly execute the Anime Object file (.aoe) for using the OS-tan and other 3D models as an OS mascot - like in M$ Word.) and couple of the 3D Os-tan model you have made so far with Open Source 3D modeler, if that's ok with you.

I share a similar feeling as yours...
A bit OT... but I think I will just stop posting any more works and updates of my OS-tan-related projects in this forum. I hate to say, but I think:
- this forum may simply be too dead already (activity-wise, no insult intended) to support the development of any fan-based projects, OR
- the vast majority of members have no interest on anything other than fan arts, OR
- my works and projects really suck, but somehow they know it without even downloading or trying them (LOL)
I agreed. Although if someone think my work sucks - it won't affect my opnion, I just wanted to spoof my OS up - don't want bland GUI (like Windows 9x)... Just wanted it to be a bit more fun to use.
I'm still a bit deadlocked, since I don't have a 64-bit computer (in Helena) anymore - the BIOS is messed up already, so I will have to wait until I actually move to Japan (the reason for delay is: Money. Job.) before I can resume my GreenOmega OS testing (I need to use a 64-bit x86 CPU to test the kernel to see if it can boot, then have CPU enter Long Mode and resume the kernel service and load all 64-bit OS programs and kernel plugins.) - Still developing the software, of course (You can use FASM to compile a 64-bit program on 32-bit PC though.)
The reason I set this thread out because I'm just curious and, also grab the skins from the others if they intend to distribute.

BTW, I checked out your website - still look nice, one problem - they're for Windows Vista, so I doubt it will work in my GreenOmega 64 (unless I modify the WINE heavily to make it look exactly like Vista) but still, I would like to use it, though. Also, some tools on your website will help me out too (to create some OS-tan sprite for the GUI skin).
Added after 13 minutes:
So, AnimeTheme, where do you get the complete tools? I may want to make some too. (for both Windows and GreenOmega OS)

You can run gadgets on non-Vista Windows (using 3rd party sidebar on XP, for example), though in your case I don't think it will run well (or even run at all) on WINE, since some of my gadgets use some native Windows scripting functions. I may port my gadgets to Yahoo or Google format in the future... but there is still no such plan right now.
Also, what "tools" are you referring to?
Oh well. And, on the "tool" topic, I may need some Windows program to create anime skins (the best one possible) - I may want to look into 3D GUI too. The reason I wanted to do that, is because I'm fan of anime - I like Troubled Windows so much that it's weird for me to explain. (I'm technophile.) and I really wanted to see some of OS-Tan skin in BrokenGlass GUI interface (3D interface / DirectX engine for GreenOmega 32 and 64 OS) as I'm going to do something in this homemade OS.
Added after 2 minutes:
P.S. The BrokenGlass GUI (I'm refering to the GUI itself) would be similar to Windows Vista's Aero GUI, only more flexible and skinnable. (You can create just the skin or the whole GUI plugin for the BrokenGlass GUI.)
